  1. I've got a Tikka T3 with a wildcat p8 moderator and centrepoint scope which came from steveff1353 on here and it is a lot heavier than some guns with its stainless steel barrel but is brilliant!
  2. Nothing yet, no more eggs have done missing either though so all is well for now!
  3. I dont know if this guys anywhere near you, he's on pigeon watch, he pm'd me saying he had an un-modded one advertised on around 3rd page back, was up at £200, but he'd accept £150, only payed £225 for mine with the hushpower flazz Newbie Pigeon Shooter Group: Members Posts: 8 Joined: 16-February 11 Member: 29756 Gender:Male Location:ingleby barwick Thanks Stubby; theres a few on guntrader quite a bit cheaper than that and sadly he's 4.5 hours drive away so i'll leave it. I also had a thought earlier while looking at them that i only have a 3 gun safe and
  4. Nice buy; i was eyeing it up on pigeon watch too! I'm in the market for one of the unmoderated ones, you can get them dirt cheap it seems, am just waiting to find one close enough Oli
  5. Ask one of the keepers who looks after the woods? They may have some idea! Sounds creepy, i always like having a mate when out at night if i'm on foot
  6. Great, thank you all, will leave as is and see if anything appears! Whats the general feeling about what would take a goose egg?
  7. Ok, is this the general view? I read in another thread that when setting fenns using bait you should block up an end so the baits the other side of the fenn whereas tunnels are more for rats/other things when you can put them on a trail and are not using bait? Oli
  8. In the wild the hinds chew on the antlers to get the nutrients out so must be good stuff! Oli
  9. Hello all, We have a pair of geese at work and each year the eggs seem to go missing, this year the goose is actually sitting on the nest so it'd be nice to keep the eggs, what do people think woill be taking geese eggs? Rat, Mink, stoat ? I've put a fenn trap in a tunnel with the end blocked off, some meat the blocked end, fenn in the middle and two sticks restricting the enterence to the tunnel. Anything else i should be doing? Cheers Oli
  10. Cheers; i know woodland enterprises (you've got to love being greeted by a stuffed grizzley bear inside the door!!) and have been to wiltshire rod and gun a few times. I'll have to check the others out if i get my FAC granted; its going in the post by the end of the week! I know what you mean about Roxtons; have always seemed a bit pricey to me!
  11. Whats your gun shop of choice around here Matt? Cheers, Oli
  12. Hi Rich, It would be fantastic if you wouldn't mind emailing them to olib007@hotmail.com, Much appreciated, Oli
  13. Fantastic; thank you all; I feel educated!! I hope to apply for use of my bosses .243 soon for culling use in our deer park & humane dispatch etc while at work. I also want a .22 as well for rabbits, corvids (on the ground of course)so it seems like .22 lr is a good choice to apply for. Thanks, Oli
  14. Having done a bit of searching on google and this forum i've yet to work out the differences between the following: hmr lr wmr Hornet Rugger Win etc I figure i might as well ask otherwise i'll never know and it will probably drive me mad!! Can anyone tell me what they mean or tell me where to look for more info? Cheers, Oli
