i was shooting .223 federal v-shock 40 grain nosler which was suposed to be 3700fps as stated by manuf. chronographed at an average of 3400fps so from my experience u cant trust the details given by manuf

cleared this up today with cumbria police. basically .22RF covers me for any .22RF so im on the look out for a .22WMR barrel for a sako quad

You will still need to apply for authority to acquire, either as a variation or a 1 for 1 swap. Unless you have authority to acquire already on your ticket which you have not used. So when you do that........ask your FEO, or just tell them you need a WMR for long range work. If you have authority to aquire, try your luck as lon as your ammo says 22 rimfire, not 22LR, because if you are only allowed to possess 22lr ammo, you can not aquire WMR ammo. If you see what I mean. just checked and it says .22RF Ammunition Quantity 600 im gonna have to check it looks like it should c

who do i belive? spoke to a local gun dealer today regarding the barrel and i said "what do you think to the .22WMR for my quad" he replied with " what do you want one of those for totaly useless, wouldnt bother nah no good steer clear spend your money on something better" but surely if i have the quad and i can get the barrell for 100 quid or so then why not i mean we are boys who like are toys in my eyes on application for an FAC you should state what the maximum calibre is you wish for and if this is granted you should be allowed to own anything below and a maximum of 6 guns obviously

i have a sako quad in.22lr my tickett just says .22RF so i assume i can have a 22WMR is this true? what does anybody have to say about the 22WMR? is it worth getting the barrel

to much you tube i have a typical 1 1/2" plastic spud gun but then i decided to build a compressed air gun from copper and its pretty mean but now your taking it 2 steps too far

personally i would go for over and under beretta silver pigeon, solid gun wont really loose any money on it cant go far wrong. less kick on a over and under due to weight i personally see the side by side as a pheasant shoot day gun and no i dont own a silver pigeon and never have i know people with them bought them secondhand and swapped them in later years for more expensive gun and got back what they paid for it,

i am aware that callum ferguson is the best riflesmith in the country i know 2 guys with his guns and they are amazing so smooth to operate apparently there is no room for oil on these guns they are made that exact. but would a budget of 3 grand get you one of his masterpieces

Hi guys fairly new to all this i have 12bore and .22LR also .223 i currently have about 250 acres i can shoot over in 4 different locations in the south cumbria and north yorkshire area. The guys i know are terrier and lurcher men but dont mind me coming along with them, also getting to know a few game keepers and associated guys who are aware i own a rifle but so do they. Basically im looking for someone in the area who can take me out foxing/rabbiting i will put some pictures of my guns up in the photo area cheers Matt
