I Have been flying hawks for 14 years i wouldnt use pea gravel as it could be picked up easily by the bird and cause no end of trouble i am lucky that we have a pine wood near to us so i use fresh pine needles or if i cant get any i use 20mm round gravel or stone.If you bird bates a lot( i am assuming the bird will be teathered as it is a mews )then i would go for a softer material on the ground even a good layer of sand as if you use a gravel the talons could become blunt. The down side of astro turf is cleaning it hope this helps cheers and good luck Pete

Hi all i have an air arms s410 .177k with hawke map pro 4-12x50 AO PX mil dot scope however im no too sure how to use the ao or px side of it are these scopes any good or should i be looking to replace them i used to have a set of ags 3-9 x 40 which where brill wish i still had them they just did the job but now im confused any help or advice welcome thanks in advance pete

  7. this dog is 4 1/2 months old, should make about 25 26 tts not the greatest of pics dont do him justice. he's 3/4 grey 1/4 bull mother is bronson/greyhound sire is working ex track. i bought him last friday off gone poaching he is absolutly stunning,reason forsale is he is causing too many arguments between me and the missus and its now upsetting the kids and to be honest my wife and family come first so i have to let him go im gutted the picture is of his litter brother the only difference is he hasnt got white on his feet he will do it all i dont know what else to say exept i wish i could ke

Hi all i have an air arms s410 in .22 thumhole stock etc its immaculate has only fired around 200 pellets was serviced etc in july last year replacing all the seals and having new head etc (tuned ) throws consistantly 11.7 ft lbs i would like to swap for a 177 but would like to keep my thumbhole stock if anyone is interested pm me thanks pete

Hi all i have just aquired a 3 shot semi auto shotgun with a set of chokes two questions i have is which choke is which on the end there are grooves 1,2,3,4 and 5 how do the grooves equate to the choke size ie is 1 groove 1/4 choke please any advice would be great also does anyone know where i can get a set of instructions for the shotgun it is a concorde 12 g tried google but no joy just want to make sure its all ok and i familiarize myself with loading and unloading thanks in advance Pete
