  1. That roughneck bar from Screwfix is fine if you want to slowly chip away at something hard in your garden but useless at prying. I'm not particularly strong but I bent mine quite easily trying to move a large rock!! The steel in it is nowhere near the quality of the old fashioned bars - it's way too soft!
  2. I use Kronch salmon oil on their food - you can buy it on eBay. My lurcher had exactly the same problem - the salmon oil sorted her coat in less than a month.

  4. I swear by a quick spray of Savlon Dry Antiseptic Skin Healing Powder before the wound starts scabbing up. It contains iodine and is easy to apply - it dries very quickly so the dog can't lick it off.
  5. It's always good to check for good teeth, bite, spannability and good overall confirmation. There's no point in breeding rubbish.
