  1. After our last ratting trip I didnt think we would be as lucky this time but we had another good couple of hours dealing with these pests, cheers for the invite Royston2.
  2. Had a walk out with Royston2 this morning the aim was to do some more ratting. We gave the dogs a bit of a run around in a wood 1st just to calm them down a bit.Luckily we did this as one of the lurchers found a road kill muntjac on a nearby road.It was just an average sized doe but be a nice roast anyway.
  3. I would think the benefits of getting such a deep reading through undiggable terrain is that you wouldnt be wasting your time searching the immediate area or wondering if the dog had exited unseen,as for rescuing a dog in undiggable earths and at undiggable depths,I think its up to the dog to work it out for him or herself how to get out, harsh I know but what else is there to do but wait.Luckily there are very few death traps in my area though accidents can always happen.
  4. No not me cant help you on that one.
  5. Got plenty of rabbit control lined up for him shame about the ban
  6. [attachmentid=431 Helping to enter another dog not sporting but IMHO the best way to enter a young dog.Not the best dog in the world but at just 14 months old I am very happy.Credit to the bloke that bred him from tested parents
  7. [attachmentid=430 A good solid marker of quarry to ground
  8. Single handed no problem
  9. Young bitch of Royston2 doing a rat
  10. And they say the camera never lies deceptive some photos, either that or your a midget
  11. Both from the same lines the bitch is bred tighter causing I think her to have been thrown smaller, just intrested in others experiances of digging to small terriers. She is 6months old 11inch at shoulder and 13 pounds.
  12. Never get bored of looking at pics of working dogs, they look fit as fiddles and keen as mustard, good luck.
  13. They look a strong pair of terriers I thought you preffered the smaller type,as for the lads let them experiace the pride of owning working dogs as you know there is nothing like it.
  14. If hunting is in your blood there can be no compromises, the ability or drive in certain crosses doesnt change the fact your braking the law,I find the new laws agrevating and unjust definatly an inconveniance but it gives you 2 choices either carry on doing what comes natural or throw the towel in.Circumstances can dictate what path you choose but then again how about changing them.Good luck with whatever path people choose, remember you never regret the things you have done as much as the things you havnt.
  15. Another pic for you,then
  16. He is just over 24inches at shoulder,he is everything I expected from this cross.
  17. A couple of pics just to show how he has matured.
