    I must disagree with you, the cheaper price doesn't make more popular any breed because nobody can make any profit from them. This is the cheapest terrier in Hungary and didn't become popular -except the hunters of course. anyway, good post as ever.

    I've been using it for 3 years, and every time experienced the same thing. Always shown more depth than the dog was.

    Don't write off. As I said, tie it not to far from shooting, and tie closer and closer. How many dogs were you able to "make" with the mentioned way? Were they as good dogs after as the others who don't cares the shot at all?

    a starterpistol makes a sharper loud than a shotgun, but maybe you are right. my experience is the gun shy dogs never will be able to work under fire no matter what to do with them.

    It's the easiest thing mate. Just take the gun and the dog, and bring them to the shooting club. Tie the dog, and practice the shooting. At the end of the day you will know what to do with the dog.

    I myself never entered any dog altogether with another one, but many lazy mates regularly do that. They don,t want to dig at all and use soft dogs for bolting. I realised many times the dogs who were entered this way don,t become hard workers but I don,t understand what is the reason? Why? Never tried it but I think if the X-factor is inside the dog, it will come out when needed.

    russels are shit mate never seen a good one in 30 years ie seen plenty of great russels doing different type of work and plenty of prick who talk shit Well said mate, in my oppinion russells are very clever dogs and thats what you need in a terrier. They are the brains of the outfit, cheers. Luke. You really started to arguing about the ability of a breed in an idiot's topic who doesn't know how to work with a 6 months old dog?!?
