im not a lover of the s200 stock so a big change would be good and i do like thumbhole stocks
i would leave the barrel band off for now and see what you think when you get the action into the stock

if i was to make a gun stock american black walnut would be my choice to :boogie:when i used to work in joiners shop we made big heavy picture frames and the grain and dark colouring was class very good choice

yes just sent it off think it was about £10 special delivery he had it about 2weeks and when he rang me to say it was done and make payment i payed £65 to cover delivery
they could do the strip down for you but that could cost alot more. i would just ring and ask they are very helpful

nitromors paint striper then try birchwood casey stock kit about £15 it has a walnut stain ,tru oil and various grades of sand paper iv had good results
