    MY mate used till have a greyhound called ( big balls ) never forget the time he brought it for a hare nothing more funny then a fella running after the course shouting go on big balls go on big balls near wet myself

    Thats like bringing a child to and jungle gyms and till them till stand beside you all day wise up there pups or pup how can they get the musles on there legs and learning how till run. if you dont want them running about playing there pups they need 2 play.If you watch any wild life show with baby animals on how do they learn till hunt they run about playing and fighting with each other.

    Everybody will always have different opinions about when to start a pup.There is a diffence in bring a pup out with the ferret and letting it watch and same on the lamp till bringing a pup out for a full days or nights hunting. Have 2 pups now only turned 5 months old have only seen dead rabbits that l feed them on and only get long walks out the dam learning about other stuff fences, ditchs ,gates,livestock etc etc. AS long as pups come back when l tell them and dont look at livestock then thats ok for me because there dam will learn them most of the stuff there going need till learn about

    my mates have 120 tumblers between then in there sheds out there back best tumblers l have every seen almost about 34 tumbles before flying back up till 500 metres till do it all over again :clapper:

    People will always disagree when till start a pup 5 months a year it all depends on the person and dog. Have two pups 5 months old and wont see anything till about 9 months but thats just me. They have so much till learn before even starting to hunt. Fences,ditches,gates,livestock, etc etc and all this will take afew months till get it spot on. A pup needs to be a pup as people have said whats the rush your going have them along time.There is so many pups up for sale because people start them to early and when they cant do the job they get rid off them. but as l said its up to that person

    Just wondering do people change there dogs food when the season is over???? My dogs where on 26% red mill and other stuff but l cut them down when the season is over what do all yous do???

    every 6 weeks , your dogs intestines will never get to deal with the odd worm ,mine only get wormed if i see them in the crap ,about once every year or two . The worse thing till do is till wait till there is worms in the dogs crap a dog feed raw rabbit and other meat need wormed out alot more often then an dog on meal and tin dog food 6 weeks l worm my dpgs over the hunting season once the season is over the dogs food will change and so will the way l worm them

    And another thing there is a topic up now (natrual born hare killers 1)people saying great dogs, great runs, will watch part 3 off it and then we see the real side off the daytime hare man running dogs in the mid off june killing 9 hares or so think that worse then lamping .

    Respect thats what most off you that hunt the hare during the day are saying. Just like to ask one question to you so called hare men how many off you that catch hares during the day bring them home to eat either for you or the dog???? Because l know most people on the north off lreland that hunt hare during the day dont bring them home incase they get stopped by the police and get fined and the dogs and cars taken off them and when the hare is killed just throwing it into a ditch FACT!.So if your talking about an animal that deserves respect how can you call that respect!!!!

    I have been giving my luchers raw rabbit for a while and worm dogs out every 6 weeks but not feeding the dog on raw rabbit again from not on te rabbits will be getting cooked or put in a frezzer for 2 and half weeks till kill any thing they could have

    There few good answer but some people think a hare is so easy on the lamp l dont think so have seen hares run dogs till a stand still on the lamp and some people say they dont know where there going off course they do every animal that feeds at night knows where it is and where is the quickes escape route till get away . surely if a rabbit knows where its home is when it starts heading for it on a lamp a hare knows where it escape route is?????

    Just got back into hunting the past year and a half after being out off the game for a well.Back then l hunted hares during the day but never had any good really hares dogs about me and was really just out till see the runs. Since then the crowd l hunted with have gone in diff ways.1 hunts foxs the other still hunts hares and l myself have got into lamping and ferreting with a few other ppl. The last time we where out lamping we caught 2 hares l hunting hares myself and know they are 10 times better during the day and a lot easier till catch on the lamp but l dont really go for hares during

    I agree with every one else get the pups sitting staying etc etc my 2 pups are 5 months old now and 1 day walk them on the road for about 1 hour and half then the next day get about 3 hours with there dam over the mountain .l just let them, run about fighting and playing with each other so they learn how till turn and use the mustles there going need when they get older.Only have they jumping small stuff till there bones get stronger then l but there board up higher then start them on wire fenceing.Pups need time till be pup and not just rushed into the hunting game

    Just asking but your saying this dogs have killed 4 a night 3 times a week or more etc etc when does this dog get time too heel its wounds because every dog gets bit at some time and a dog worked that much on foxes mush take a good bit now and then does not matter how good the dog is on a fox so when do you give this dog time till heel????

    there was a topic about 3 months ago a fella had a patterdal bitch that his greyhound whippet served by mistake the terrier only had one pup there was a picture off it up in here some where wee cracker but he has never put anything else back up since then would have like till see the size and shape it took

    There was a topic up 2 months back and there was some cracking pens and kennels the only think l can say till yea just make sure the dogs cant walk the wet into there kennels and there is a dry bit for the outside off the kennels where they sleep

    l stop lamping the spots l have for permission for a few weeks back just go out lamping looking new spots and till get a few runs on the new spots next year cant come fast enough
