  2. Go on then, i'll give you £20! You drive a hard bargain though!!
  3. Hi Paca, if your happy to take paypal i'll offer £10 for your dimmer.
  4. I bought my Anschutz 1517 from PUALUS, really nice guy and a well looked after gun! I wouldn't part from that gun either!
  5. Tonights bag, 12 rabbits. Just a couple of hours out with the new hmr! I'm more than happy as I barely missed a shot!
  6. incredibly stupid !!! there are no good reasons ever to load a gun at home ! Idiot!! The gun doesn't cycle very well either so I wouldn't be showing that off! Why would anyone let loaded cartridges fly onto the floor like that, and more to the point why do it in your kitchen???
  7. Hi Matt, Thanks for the advice but the rifle is second hand and had a few hundred rounds through her already. Having said that she is in perfect condition! Had a couple of hours out with her tonight, zeroed at 100yds and had 3 bunnies already. I'm happy with that as i'm not used to her yet! Its the 1517 with thumbhole stock and 18" barrel. I chose it as the stock is the same as my 1417 .22lr so I thought it would already feel natural to shoulder. The 1417 is only a 14" barrel and the mod on the 1517 is alot heavier so the balance is quite a bit different but i'm sure i'll get used to it. Mig
  8. Just got back from a drive across to the east midlands to collect my new rifle. Its an anschutz 1517 with ASE utra mod. Off out to zero it now! Feel like a kid at Christmas! Surely i'm not the only one to get excited about a new gun? Anyway, off out to see how I get on! I'll let you know how it goes. Phil
  9. When I applied for my first SGC and FAC the flo came round for my interview 3 days after my house was broken into. The b*****ds had got in through a locked double glazed window and ripped out half my kitchen to get at a small safe in one of the units! The flo and I chatted about it all and he was still happy to grant them both!! So don't be too paranoid about it. ATB Phil
  10. Thanks Lab-tastic, apologies for the duplicate post too, didn't realise i'd posted it twice as the computer found an error and had to close down so i didn't think it had posted! The bf goodrich tyres all have great reviews but i can't find them in 255/65/17 to fit my navara.
  11. Hi, i've got a Navara D40 in desperate need of new tyres. Its mainly used as a road vehicle but I also use it for lamping. I'm after a tyre that will do good milage but not leave me stranded in sticky gateways or wet fields. I'm looking at the Cooper Discoverer ATR's or Grabber AT2's. Has anyone experience of these tyres or any other recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help! Phil
  12. Hi, I've got a navara d40 in desperate need of new tyres. I mainly use the truck on roads but it is also used as a lamping vehicle. I'm after tyres that handle pretty well but will cope with cattle tracks, green lanes and sticky gateways. Currently looking at Grabber AT2's or Cooper discoverer ATR's. Has anyone got any experience of these? What tyre would you suggest or recommend? Thanks for your help. Phil
  13. Hi CBW, I work for the ambulance service too and know the sort of things you've been too. I certainly find time out shooting best to clear my head or just chill out! Don't know much about informing the FLO though. All the best in the future, hope you enjoy your time away. Phil
  14. Not been out yet due to other commitments, but hoping for a shoot this weekend! Where in shrops are you from? I'm north shropshire.
  15. I use a Anschutz 1417 .22lr, i used the CCI subs, put about 250 rounds through. Most of them fired pretty accurate and are hard hitting. But i did find that the bolt wouldn't close properly on some of them. I since swapped to winchester super-x, these are superb and my rifle definately prefers them! This is my first post but I hope it helps, Phil.
