this is simply a result of market forces, theyve pushed the margin so small people have to keep large numbers to exist. i know this case is a bit extreeme but its the way things are heading like it or not. we milk on our farm only about 60 cows and were getting 21pence a litre at the moment when its priced at 75p a litre at the shop its disgusting that price is an insult for the dedication involved with dairying milking twice a day 365! rain or shine

this reply is for hunting all the way, firstly money does not come into it at all, you said this method would probably be easier and cheaper my self i cant see that as the sire is about five hours drive away! and the brother is about two hours away, which i add i will happily do if thats what i decide on. finally even if the breeding does go ahead none of these will be sold only given to close mates who i know would give honest feed back, good or bad. atb dt

having considered all implications i will probably put her father over her and possibly the progeny back over her litter brother, but all this depends on a lot of things going to plan and with running dogs it often doesnt atb dt

frontline doesnt kill mites mates mate, its over rated and over priced! stronghold is what you want that will worm him as well

thanks for that pa, i do have a fair idea regarding breeding and heritability of desired traits and i guess it will only be as true as the people behind it

theyre bull cross, personally i think its a fair question so why the head banging and shaking heads i dont know surely if you want a consistent type they must be in/line bred as much as possible as not to dilute the line with out crosses

i dont know about all that stuff but to certain extent i can see it in my own village where theres a large factory employing about two hundred foreigners.

i agree with you when genuine people are struggling to find a job but what about the wasters that have no intention of working thats the problem surely they bleed this country of its dwindling resources more than the immigrants who have put large amounts of money in a lot of peoples pockets such as the tax man,land lords, food stores etc etc
