No Terriers docked after April 2007 to be shown Guess I won't be going then.... Hi there With the way the law is all we can do is put in a disclaimer "advising" you that they "shouldn't" be shown if you get my drift. Obviously we can't always check these things out.

The website for this show is www.dll.me.uk hope this helps.
-
Simulated coursing entries taken from 9.30 racing will follow the coursing.

The show at Sth. Wingfield is on the 3rd April, was supposed to be on the 20th March originally but had to change the date.

Your right even if they bought the rosettes & trophies it's still too dear, we organise and run shows over here in England, provide our own trophies and rosettes and still only charge £1 or £2 per entry.Thought that AlbertJ might have had the courtesy to reply but there you go. -

It seems you haven't answered my question yet which is a shame as if it is the MA club providing everything then people would perhaps understand better why it's so expensive to enter a class. -

AlbertJ Just as a matter of interest who actually pays for the rosettes and trophies and prize money for the shows, as I understand it's around £4 for each entry into the lurcher & terrier classes which goes to the Mid Antrim club. If they are providing the rosettes and trophies then they do need recompense even though it seems quite dear, if they are not then why does it need to be that expensive as they have not imo had a significant outlay to justify it. -
the Basc game fair in Scotland isn't on this year and the Gamekeepers Fair is the 9th & 10th April and I think that the Basc Wales & Borders game fair may not be on either

Dukie, That is the decision of those show organisers but what we have CONCENTRATED ON and will continue to do so is to give the terrier & lurchers their proper place amongst the other competitions with now equivalent or better competition prize structure while at the same time offering them a two shows for the price of one concession for Ballywalter and Shanes Castle. £10 for two events - can anyone tell me what game or country fairs offer terrier & lurcher owners ACTUALLY ENTERING the Fairs better admission rates? For Shanes and Birr we also offer Terrier & Lurcher owne -

As well as the shows that Leeview pointed out that were outside the fair or free entry for lurchers & terriers the Gamekeepers Fair at Catton Park is also outside the main fair with the option to pay through to the main showground. In my experience lurcher & terrier owners who attend to race & show seldom get further than the ringside anyway so its a lot to pay out for them -
All qualifiers who attend the championship receive a momento for qualifying, if you've qualified you'll receive a ticket to attend in the next couple of weeks. Hope to see you there. Dukie

I spoke to Alan Tyre about a month ago and he said that he wasn't doing it any more and he wasn't sure the Lurcher & Terrier show was on.

I really don't know why I'm bothering to even reply to this because quite frankly it seems to me Tom that you're starting to become obsessive but thats up to you. Lets get a few things straight, you do know who I am because you met me at Cardross in 2006 when you were with sacs.At that time you wanted us to join the whole of our club to sacs and hand over our membership list with all our members details. This we declined to do because not everyone may have wished to join and also as far as we were concerned our members would not have wished their details to be passed around, neither were we pr

On behalf of the National Lurcher & Racing Club I would like to thank all those who attended our show and made it a really nice show with a good atmosphere which everyone seemed to enjoy. Also thanks must go to the judges on the day who had a very hard task with all the really nice dogs that attended. Our final thank you must go to the man who publicised our show so well both here & on moochershunting and that is Foxgun Tom.We weren't going to advertise on the internet but as it happens we didn't need to as he did it so well for us.It really is a shame that that people have to rant an

In reply to fox gun Tom It is a shame that he needs to get down to a level of throwing insults (see header). The NL&RC are first and foremost a Lurcher club, we do terriers when asked at Game Fairs but have always been happy to give any terrier show to a terrier organization. We do a terrier show at our grass roots shows mainly for the benifit of anyone who has both Lurchers and Terriers With regards to the NL&RC not doing puppy classes at Game Fairs, we took advice from the NWTF who told us that we should air on the side of caution and not include terrier puppies at any show

Don't make sloe gin but make damson gin & blackberry whisky. Usually leave them in the jar brewing for about 8 weeks then strain & bottle. You can drink it straight away but the longer you leave it the better it tastes. If you want you can de-stone the gin soaked damsons & stir them into melted chocolate to make you own boozy choc bars
