  4. Bitch not suited for the work i intened her for found out a bit more on her background and was ran with a small pack hence why she is travelling to far,i paid a few euro for her but am willing to give her to a good hunting home,as in previous posts she hunts very well but not suited for the work i do.send us a pm if intrested no peddellers.i know probably should not post in this section.
  5. Your right it is only a day out,a good enjoyable day most times to enjoy the stalls, food and meet people with common intrest as working dogs,i personally think only working dogs should be shown but thats only my take on it.Also a good day to enjoy a few pints.
  6. I agree with you Pete you would expect a judge to pick that dog as you are explaining as he should know what hes looking for condtion etc as he is judging, all im saying is its a working dog show therefore would expect working dogs to be shown, there are plenty of local dog shows at this time of year were people can show there pets.Just my thoughts.
  7. I WAS WAITING FOR THAT TO GET ADDED TO Thats a good question if a lurcher is obiviously in good shape at a WORKING lurcher show you would assume that alot of this is down to work and hunting its been giving, not to say it should not be in as good of shape if i wasnt a working dog.But as Sounder said its a working terrier and lurcher show.

  9. AS you said sounder a working terrier and lurcher show therefore id like like to see working terrier and lurchers been judged by proper lads that know a good working dog not someone judging show ponies,i think it would draw more attention to the show ring watching proper dogs been shown.Just mt thought.
  10. Cheers for the reply lad season nearly over now put alot more time into her over the coming months hopefully try steady her up as shes a good little bitch enjoys to hunt, just works on to much no slips for the lurcher
  11. Is the 24th of July a set date for this show as it seems to be the one to go to and am defentily going this year?
  12. Recently bougth a 2 year old beagle with a touch of russell back through her, very shy and timid when i got her but a bit of time sorted that.i bought the bitch to hunt cover along side my russell she has no problem hunting at all its just shes travelling well to far and am at my wits end now with her ive done recall work with her giving her treats and so on when she comes back,i am fond of the bitch but the hunting on to far is getting to me would anyone with more experince have some needed advice or am i flogging a dead horse so to speak?i dnt know much on her back ground if hunted with pack
  13. Cheers for the replys lads agus lasses. Not going to buy atin off this site just found it strange that these people could sell there so called working terriers with trials out of season. Thanks again.
  14. Cheers for the replys lads.My hunting mate is more a lurcherman but does enjoy the digging game to i wouldnt buy this time of year anywa trial or no trial as most are quitters or pure shite.Even trialed so called workers last winter and nothing but waisters i think its quite funny the price these lads are looking for these terriers you show them an earth and they turn and run.
  15. While currently looking for a terrier to run on this season i had a quick glance on donedeal dis morning a couple of so called workers for sale with trial?I find it quite strange that trials are been offered with these dogs this time of year as there is alot of young around and surley would not be a decent tial for one of these workers.Your thoughts please on this subject? Rodge
  16. While currently looking for a new terrier to run on this season had a quick glance at donedeal dismorning and a couple of so called workers for sale with trial?I find it a bit strange that trials would be given with terriers this time of year as alot of young about and would not be a suitable trial for a working dog.I know donedeal is not the best place to be looking just wondering what your thoughts on this matter would be? Rodge
