    im fortunate to be able to take my terriers to work with me as i work on a farm but today i f****d up a little, when working a terrier of the lead i ALWAYS have them collared up, whilst working round the farm i let the dogs do abit of mooching about and they get the odd long tail then on my dinner i take them for a walk round the boundary of the land, ive walked these fields 100's of times with them and know the land well, today was a different thing, whilst walking the land and heading back to the farm my old bitch shot of in a small patch of cover where theres afew bunny sets, she doesnt no

    the same happened to me not too long back, a well bred dog of 16mth old i had lined my old bitch by accident, the old bitch had 4 pups with just one pup surviving , i gave the pup away and when i see the pup now of 7mth old i kick myself, its a little belter thats coming on very well with the long tails and is very game, im gutted i didnt keep it as ive just lost the young dog to ground recently with a cave in as he was just coming on good himself, if i was you pal and you have the room ide give it a chance, atb

    your not far wrong there pal, use to be a good day out that was fairly well organized and the meet up in boozer after wards was just as good but for the last few years its gone abit tits up with more folk turning up and doing what they liked, its a shame cos it was a good day out,

    to be honest its not my kind of thing but each to there own but today i thought ide go see the meet up in a little town up north way and see the hounds hunt, there were a good turn out with plenty of support for them but they decided not to hunt with the weather conditions, and it was freezing, i took the lad and he seemed to like the hounds and heres afew pics,

    Ok so you say they dont dig on. I accept that BUT what do you do when the fox has squeezed on and on. Pushed so hard he is up a hole size of your fist and your dogs shoulders are still stuck further back down the hole. I would like to have a day with you and your dogs. This is not an attack post. I am purely saying in my short digging carrer I have had to open up a couple of holes on a few occassions where dog is stuck and is trying to get on. Either where you live you only have big enough holes, your dog must be narrowest dog going, or you just hunt very fat foxes. Please do not take this as

    thanks for the replys but the lost terrier isnt my pals, my pals bitch is a strong looking black bitch with afew working scares, it was lost round the holton moor / swillington / rothwell area, where thinking its rather been picked up and kept as there are afew lads with dogs round the area and she will be taken back if bumped into or sadly she ended up in the river as it was in fast flood,
