    All the dogs in this line are quite slow to mature.Brick,the dog in Hephers avatar is turned into a proper tool this season.he done very well with 21 digs last season but massive difference this year.in fact that's how I ended up with his grandfather as he wasn't showing signs at around a year.Bitches so far are early maturers some out of previous litters where dug at 9 month.Easy to ruin them so we hold well back.Bitches tend to be harder than dogs in general but the dogs can be stiff enough too at times.We don't want or need real hard terriers we want clever working terriers only going for a

    There's always hope,I lost my pat pup in the snow last Christmas eve 14 weeks old,phoned dog warden called at farms -9 in area I lost him.after 9 days Hepher phoned to say lads out shooting found him close to where he was lost.he had dug part of the river banking out for himself not far from where I lost him.being stolen is a different ball game imo.

    Bitch has bordery head red/wheaten colour quite long bodied think she's a few White socks about 14 month old but tullyeyed can fill in if I'm mistaken

    I know off a lad had one chained at side of house.he went to work one day but forgot his lunch and came back only to find the wheaten dragging his child into it's box.Lucky he was there when he got the child of it he painted the box with both barrells. I ve seen many excellant wheatens working and seen dog out of same line with totally different temperments towards terriers and people. I kennel all dogs seperate as it's easy enough to lose em when they re working never mind in a kennel fight.

    The bitch is 3 just June past.she's the result of a father/daughter mating.1 of 2 bitches born,her sister was lacking in everyway.JD you would have seen pics of my old bitch Pip?That's her ma.I owned her grandfather/greatgrandfather I suppose roughly speaking way back she's nuttal/booth with a dash of pure shit thrown in lol.

    Most of the spots we do does nt require her to dig on but in spots where tubes can narrow in spots she has the determination to dig on.she's near 15" and 25ib.she not hard just what most would call a hard sounder.She has slayed her fair share of fox but normally just goes for a hold when the light goes in,which is just what we want.I ve owned and worked a few decent dogs but with this bitch I have the confidence to say she ll not let us down.Exceptional prey drive as the Americans say.And loves her work.

    Well said Should have made myself clearer.lots of great experienced terriermen have dug this dog and he's in the top 90% of dogs they ve dug.he's 13 and time is nt on our side here.I know enough about dog and breeding to know what I want.I've been digging 16 years and am aware of breeding a dog I ve never dug to.there's no question on the dogs ability but I'm concerned on my bitch getting the jag.Any help from lads who have used the jag in question.thanks again S ps if the dog was younger I would wait but time is nt on our side here.

    Hepher gets a bit confused after counting to 2 but the keeper was happy as 4 gamebird killers where accounted for in 3 digs lol

    My mate has an impeccably bred terrier dog.He's 13 and still grafting.I have a 6 year old bitch,very hard but learned discretion after 3rd season.Prob is her breaks are very irregular and I'm going to bring her to vet to get a jag to bring her in. Has anyone ever used this jag and how effective is it and what are the pros and cons of using this method of bringing her in by this jag? Vet says it can leave them irregular but she can't be anymore irregular than she is.Bitch is best animal I've owned and the dog is very good according to all who have dug him. Thanks for any help S

    Rabbit hunter your a decent lad I'd dig with ye anyday.I've a few probs at work so maybe get ye over in new year.sorry it's been posponed.Your oneoff the few lads that has a lot of common sense and does nt get put of with the poor luck you ve had. Hope to have a pup to send over soon mate

    I've had the pleasure of digging hephers dogs and they are well above standard.the dog in the pic is an exceland animal and gives 100% every time out.He was dog if the day and that's a regular occurance.We expect a high standard from our dogs and Hepers dog is as good as I ve dug.Now he's a decent lad and if folks knew him they d realise he does nt mean most of what he says,only winding .one of the most decent loopers i've dug with.No jealousy no bitching just a fanatical terrierman
