  3. Just chatting to the lad who's destination was posted on an open forum he said Quote"Tell that c**t that posted my details I'll machete him but in the meantime tell him to call and say what he has to face to face" Not a happy man.
  4. Yap yap yap Well mustard what's your opinion of Northern dogs
  5. Oh lovely Ryan thanks what did I do on ye.how about back to the thread would make better sense.
  6. Oh forgot to add us Northerners can fight like f@@k too lol
  7. Ok mate joking aside,I can't help myself sometimes.I've hunted in England with well respected terriermen and all over Ireland seen good dogs everywhere but in my opinion the Northern lads have the highest standards in working terriers. That's not taking away from others in the south or over the water but in the circles I'm in contact with there seems to be a higher percentage of lads who only settle for the best.I think the Northern lads set the standard to a level that most others don't think is obtainable. No offence to anyone anywhere just my honest answer to this question. So basically fo
  8. Doubt it as was said on this forum before we re all talkers. My dogs are shit.I heard one time a fella had a good dog but then think he was English so don't think that counts.
  9. Madgerboy I tried to pm you,but it says you can't get an pms.Can you pm me,or e-mail me?Thank uru It'll be an email mate tried sending a pm said same about you?
  10. I spoke to Dave Harcombe on the phone just ,fella was extremely nice. He's had an enourmous amount of successes ans failures like everyone but his standards are high he knows dogs as well as any on here if I was looking a pup and was offered I'd take one from those kennels without a second thought.I know very little about the other FULL NAME mentioned on the open forum but did dig a dog from his lines last year and it's an impressive dog. Whats next full adresses and post codes
  11. Time to start lol I did nt drink either till I read this thread it's obviousely 2 different dogs as one has 8 or 9 grey hairs and the others 6 lol HELP
  12. I entered my 14 yr old to ground the other day.very hard.........well ye might say stiff lol heart attack I think.
  13. Aha but are ye sure it's the dog with 6 grey hairs?or is it 7 or 5?ooohh
  14. I have to say I love lines BUT they have to be straight.nothing as flipping annoying as a line that's not straight.I like fishing lines and clothes lines but have a thing for double yellow lines they really do it for me.Power lines?don't start, never straight are they?always bowed in the middle,do my loaf in.really effects my day.
  15. Ye the cheek of ye,coming on the hunting life telling porkies.how dare you,how very dare you.you ll taint this site never a lie on here lol
  16. When I started with a mk1 box it did nt last to diner time mostly so it was ear to ground and spit, which we always bring anyhow.when digging my dogs while I lived at my father in laws he would hide my box and collar and say "listen ye wee fat c@@t if ye want to learn ye ll learn better doing it old style".nearly every dig was without a box for 2 seasons and we learnt and got on fine.Funny thing was when I started digging his dog which we bred he would nt let me out without the box and collar lol. We use a 16mm stainless bar 4 ft long and although we use a bellman now it's a part of the equi

  18. I've a proven terrier here, well he's killed a staff I mean.or I could prob get ye the service of my mates working fox?We ve been digging him all season.
  19. Tidy terrier lads but,to me anyhow,I have problems imagining this build of dog holding a nasty bit of stuff in a stop.seen these types before and don't mean to offend just my opinion.
  20. Ye that sounds more like it muddog new I read something lol swim bladders the word I was looking for.what bait do ye use in the traps?
  21. Ye that's me smicker lol want to buy an old done dog mate?
  22. That's basically what I'm getting at fatman it's quite nice to have or to see an old dog knocking about a mans yard but terriers can live a long time after retirement and if your stuck for space in reality you ll go some years not having a dog to hunt while waiting on the old ones dying.
  23. I like to think I respect my dogs as much as anyone but back in the real world not everyone has room to make for retired dogs.if you want to hunt ye have to think ahead and it's out with the old in with the new.I keep dogs for my pleasure not the other way about and as much as I love the good ones they all, like other livestock have a shelf life. How many farmers set aside fields for herds of old done cattle or hens that are done laying etc.3 pages of "we never put a healthy dog down" Disneyland fairytale nonsense.sorry lads in real life when ye keep dogs long enough everyone has to make that de
  24. As far as I'm aware eels have been fished heavily for years with no big impact on the numbers I read that there's a disease which effects the float bubble which prevents those that return to the sargasso sea from decending to the depths they need to spawn.I know I've been setting traps in all sorts of places for 4 years and never caught one yet lol
