    Could you imagine if the youth of today had to use the outdoor toilet at the bottom of the garden? Break the ice before you go and the ripped up newspapers on the nail. Its bad enough when the WiFi is slow....just imagine!!

    Hey @Sausagedog that’s very kind of you but don’t want to start a bidding war,how about we do what @stavros said in his op,give it until the weekend and he can pick name out of hat,that sounds fair to me? And if I’m picked to make it FairPlay I’m willing to pay for postage also.

    Thank You.I vividly remember when we(Gary) shot that hare,he had passed his driving test before me and had the use of his dad’s Ford Cortina estate 2.0L.We wired a lamp up under the bonnet direct to the battery using crocodile clips and a thick grey wire cable,the lamp was off some top pit machine that we acquired!! Gary was driving I was the lamp man,both front car windows wound down,bloody freezing.Garys single barrel 12g was laden across our laps.and we drove the local mountain roads. That hare was shot just above a village called Deri,on the Gelligaer/Merthyr Tydfil common.We did

    This picture was originally taken in the 80’s,we were both around 17/18. I posted this picture up on here in 2015,I’ll find a link to the thread and post it. The young man holding up the hare with the striped trousers on is my best mate Gary,during our teens we were inseparable. Always out rabbiting,ferreting,lamping,shooting,fishing you get the picture,and if not in the field..in the pub. Gary found god and became a minister and did tremendous charity work.     Me neither done it for years,Lewis invest in a shooting stick for stability,I use a £10.00 monopod so no need to break the bank. No need for a long distance lamp,I use 2 T20 torches,one attached to my scopes with a figure 8 clamp and another my spotter worn around my neck on lanyard.I scan and spot with neck worn torch and when I feel I’m in a good killing distance I change to gun mounted torch so I’m not shouldering the rifle all night. both my T20s are single mode with red beam also called red pill.     Yes,I was there and what an experience,especially on the underground,I vividly remember the carriages being jam packed and someone started bleating like a sheep so we all joined in,and yes I’m Welsh.
