  1. Thanks for the tip Ryan, I'll give it a go on the next one I make. Jayd - PM on its way. Donnyc - Sorry but I am only licenced to make silencers for sub 12ft/lbs air guns. Pete - I haven't been sea or coarse fishing this year but I am hoping to get a trip in this weekend now I am over my burst appendix. Thanks Jon
  2. Hi Guys Thanks for the comments. My silencers are quieter than any others or your money back. Silencer these days are getting so good that they are all amazingly quiet but I have never been asked for a refund. Have a look at the website in my signature for prices as I don't want to blatantly advertise on here. Cheers Jon
  3. I have almost finished making this silencer for a customer. He wanted something unique that I wouldn't make again so as well as the brass ring at the front I added six brass spots at the rear and four chamfered rings on the front, I normally do three here. The camera doesn't really show just how shiny it is but it shows up the brass with more contrast than it has. Just looking at it the brass and ally are both so shiny that you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. It's the first time I have tried doing the brass spots and I think they have come out really well. Jon
  4. Jazz If you want it making silent give me a shout. Well done on the new S410, I have one here that I never use as I prefer my TDR. They are a great rifle, that's why the design has hardly changed in all these years. Jon
  5. Sounds like you need a light smear of silicon grease around the o-ring. All Logun type mags need a smear of grease occasionally to allow the smooth passage of pellets. Jon
  6. If you get one of my silencers you won't hear your rifle, they are quieter than Weihrauch. Jon
  7. Obviously I am gonna be a little biased as I make silencers but I have always used silencers on springers and swear that they make a difference. Here is a picture of my TX200HC silencer if you are interested. Cheers Jon
  8. I would choose the FX every time. I have an S410k .177, S419TDR .22 and a Gladi8or .22. The TDR is usually my weapon of choice as it is just so light and point able but the Glad is the work horse and it never ceases to amaze me just how good it is but the S410k never gets used. I really ought to sell it but it is my only .177 so I keep it in case I have a need for it, as yet I have never had a need for it apart from lamping where the flatter trajectory means that accurate range finding (guessing) is less of an issue. I find the standard stock on th 410 does not fit me well so I am making a thu
  9. A broken spring is usually a sign of severe dieseling caused by lubricant getting in front of the piston head and igniting under pressure. The Ox spring is ok but a little over engineered and too powerful for many guns, I prefer to use the Titan XS. Jon
  10. Yeah but I also have all this land plus two other farms to hunt on. If anyone ever wants to help me shoot it the offer is always open to all members. Jon
  11. Sorry, forgot to mention that the misses fried up the breast with garlic and everyone loved it including our visitors. One of the visitors works on a farm and invited me up to shoot the pigeons and bunnies any time. So that's yet more permission I have, now I have three large farms, several quarries and a coastal strip of land that is crawling with bunnies. I don't have time to work with all that lot! Picture of the field below. Jon
  12. For some reason I have never managed to get close to a wood pigeon in the twenty odd years that I have been shooting air rifles. We have recently taken over a small field behind the house and cleared it and put goats on there. There are quite a few pigeons, crows and magpies coming in for the food and grubs etc and this evening I noticed a plump woody twenty yards from the fence, I went back to the house for my S410 TDR .22 and it was still there when I returned. I rested on the gate and nailed it with a head shot. Now the field is right in the middle of a housing estate and the seagulls and c
  13. I have been working on my rifles lately, I have fitted a shorter barrel to my .22 Logun Gladi8or and tuned it and have tuned my S410 TDR for a consistent 11.5f t/lbs. I have just chrono'd my .177 S410 and found that it is doing only 8.5 ft/lbs so it is next up for a tune. The power adjuster screw didn't make any difference so I will be polishing the hammer etc and re-lubing it I'll let you know how I get on. Cheers Jon
  14. We have just put four goats on out small holding and the magpies are coming in for the food and insects around the goats. The kids have made a den in one of the bushes so I will be using it as a hide to nail the ba5t4rds, there are hundreds around here and very few songbirds. We have hundreds of frogs, toads and slow worms in the field so I will be saving them too. Jon
  15. Hey look Airgun BBS I like guns and I use them for shooting small furry and feathered things, legally of course. I like wearing my camo gear and getting out in the wilds with my gun. Isn't that what air gunning is all about? They'll be banning use of the phrase Hunter Field Target next. Jon
  16. I was banned for life too, can't remember what for now but the bunch of petty t*****s didn't like it when I spoke my mind. I can't stand Terry D and refuse to read anything he writes in the mags etc. I still browse the BBS for information and have several alter ego's on there so I can log in if I want to view posted pictures or send PM's if I want to buy something. You can always get a new log in by using a free online proxy server that hides your IP address. I love this forum for its freedom of speech but it could do with the air gun section splitting down into categories. Long live t
  17. www.rfdnetwork.co.uk Just a quick post to let everyone know that the RFD Network is now online. Please spread the word so we can keep the UK airgun mail order business alive. This is a completely legal solution to the VCR Bill banning mail ordering of air weapons and accessories. The website is brand new and will be updated constantly. Text from the website below. With effect from 1st October 2007 mail order of air weapons and certain accessories will be banned in the UK. However there is hope to keep the business alive. The RDF Network is a network of registered firearms deale

  19. At £135 it is possibly a bargain as AA side levers go for up to £250 depending on model and condition. There were quite a few in the range, all shared the same action but had different stocks. Khamsin Bora Mistral Camargue SE90 Jackal (Military Style) Hi-Power (Military Style) If I had the readies I would jump on that one as I have always loved these rifles and would love another one, especially the Khamsin or Camargue. 20. Hi Jasper It looks like a server error as I can't connect to it. Please try again later. Thanks Jon
  21. Just to let you all know that Silencers4u is now part of the JI Associates Ltd group so you now have the backing of a VAT registered UK company with any orders from this date. Jon
  22. I use my Logun Gladi8or with JSR 3-9x50 scope and custom silencer. Devastatingly accurate and 500 shots per charge. Jon
  23. All I can say is that I bought a second hand Gladi8or and love it to bits. I have never used a gun that is so accurate and fun to use. It is so accurate it's almost boring. It's going back for service tomorrow as it is due, Logun said it will be picked up tomorrow (Wednesday) and hope to have it back to me by the weekend fully serviced. Jon
  24. A silencer definately makes a difference, I would recommend a BSA one or have a look at UK_Neil's ones as they are second to none. Try getting a friend to fire some shots past you with and without a silencer obviously you need to be behind a safe barrier like bales of straw. You will hear the difference. I fitted a Theaben gas ram into my old Webley Omega and had it Lazaglide tuned by Venom and it was pretty silent. I shot loads of bunnies with it, many were shot one after the other and the second bunny didn't hear the first shot. Jon
  25. No fear of her not enjoying being a pup, she is so brainy she runs rings around the other two dogs already. Besides which, I am definately enjoying her being a pup. Jon
