  7. I have just bought a second hand one of these for the kids. Anyone had any experience with one of these. Can't seem to find much information on it. Are they a replica of any bigger brand? And anyone got experience in replacing a fuel line on one. Cheers Mike
  8. Hi guys. Thought I would give a quick write up of a few hours out this morning with Rossi J from on here. We got to the permission(a local football club). We go there and after having a recy on Tuesday I thought I knew where the rabbits would be. We did a big bramble bush on the edge of the training pitch. it wasn't possible to lay any purse nets down so we had the 2 dogs plus the 50 yard long net. I placed the long net where I thought the rabbits would bolt. But sods law, the one rabbit who bolted, bolted in the only place not covered by the net or dog. After a bit of a course from my dog, th

  14. Pretty thick malt mate. I think I will try and do that and screw them into the slabs with stainless steel screws. Should work. Didn't really think of just screwing it in. Mike
  15. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marbled_Polecat It says on there that it is a vulnerable species. Surely you cant just pick them up willy nilly without the need of a licence or something? Mike
  16. I am finally starting to prepare an area to put a ferret court down on. I am using flag stones for the base and a wooden frame. I'm happy with all that. the one question I do have is how do people secure there court to the ground. I have been looking at them U shape bolts. Anyone use these or any other alternative? Call me paranoid, but I get worried about people coming into my garden as I have a garden open to access. All help appreciated. Mike
  17. I use dettol floor cleaner and that goes cloudy. I have looked up phenol and dettol and I can't see how it is harmful? Wikipedia says that phenol is slight acidic and will burn in its pure form, but watered down is absolutely harmless. They even put it in a Scottish whisky. Not saying your wrong kay, but I cant see anywhere that says Phenol should be avoided. Mike

  20. No symptoms, one minute they was fine, next dead. No marks or anything. My theory is hedgehogs. A few days before they died, I started seeing hedgehogs in my garden and witnessed one going right up to the bottom cage. I didn't mind this as they keep my slugs and snails down. But 2 days later one of my ferret kitts (13ish weeks) died. Thought nothing of it, until 2 days later, my best worker died. The next day, I moved 4 baby hedgehogs and one ?mummy? to the local hedgehog sanctuary. That night I lost the brother of my good worker. Since then, which is 5 days, I have not lost any ferrets and no
  21. Hi guys. I have lost all my working stock of ferrets over the last few weeks to some mystery disease, and I am only left with one retired hob and 2 jill kitts. I'm after a working adult within an hours drive from Gloucestershire. Money waiting. Any help appreciated. Mike
  22. Working ferret wanted. Money waiting. I am in Gloucestershire. PM me Mike
  23. The hedgehog along with 4 of it's young has been taken to the local hedgehog sanctuary. I was not having a problem with it's fleas and ticks, 2 of my ferrets have died sudden deaths over the weekend. Coincidently this is when the hedgehog appeared too. I have witnessed it with my own eyes going up to the ferret cages and eaten the dropped biscuits. I have hutches in 2 different places, where the hedgehog visited was where the ferrets that died lived. Lets hope this is the end of the deaths. I have lost 2 good ferrets over the weekend. Mike
