I crated my terrier 10 yrs ago as a pup, apart from what you have already pointed out about it being the pup's bit of security i found it invaluable especially in the mornings when getting the kids off to school, the last thing you want is a pup racing round the kitchen when you doing breakfast, thats how they get trodden on

i found that very moving it must have been very difficult to write

Sad really that somethings that have been going on for 100's of years and the anti's are trying to stop it.
Cheers
Its a pity these extreme pratts couldnt put as much energy into finding work, as i dont like having to keep them, lazy gets , why should any of us keep them, whats the betting they wouldnt be so anti when a family member needs meds that no doubt were tested on animals, hypocrites :realmad:
What really pisses me of is they have no respect for people, property or animals when you think about it, i have no problem with anyone having a differing opionion on hunting to me, providing its not extreme & leads to damage to myself or my property, they do there self no favours by taking such cruel & extreme action, they are just thugs at the end of the day & wouldnt have been out of place on the terraces in the 70's & 's

Do you soaked your dog food or leave it as biscuit ?
Cheers
My dog has it dry & access to water all the time, if i have some left over gravey from the dinner i put that on it, but not everyday
-
Its sad when you read about dog attacks, it makes it bad for everyone with a dog of that type , i wonder if the animal was in its own home or if the woman had the dog in her home.
-
I think everyone should know where it comes from & how its slaughtered before we tuck into it
-
My advice is use weld mesh rather than chicken wire, mine pull the weld mesh & its out of shape in places on the front of the hutch, i would reccomend getting the hob vasectomised & then you mate him to the jill next yr & you can always get kits from someone else if you need any in the future

I would take the ferret to the vets asap, if its earmites they will prescribe somethink like canoral & you will probably be advised to bring enough home to treat all your ferrets
I wouldnt use cotton buds either, if the ears just turn out to be dirty use an ear wipe , you can get them from most good pet shops.
if it is earmites the ferret will probably be scratching its self silly
-
I doubt a ferret that small would be any use against a buck in any case, i dont get the small ferret stuff anyway , give me toned & well ballanced anyday
-
You shouldn't need to train a Ferret FK, it's in them already.
Regards Rob
I agree 100%

I managed to get her an emergency appointment, The vet ruled out parvo straight away, just by looking at her and her stool, she dosnt look ill. He has taken blood and kept her stool for analysis and will let me know as soon as he gets the results. He did say it could be any number of things from diet to disease. Thanks for you advice chaps, i guess i will just wait for the call now.
Ive just checked the dogs backside its not inflammed or red at all?
feaces is an orangie brown colour that has a very pungent smell also she has been "toilet" a few times since this morning and none have been runny although they are a bit loose, or had any blood?
Do you think the pup could have eaten something it shouldnt ? i am not sure if this is correct but i either read or was told donkeys yrs ago meat eaters will have a small amout of blood in there poo , apparently its cause we eat meat, as i say i may be wrong but hope the pup is ok anyway

they make you sick , nothing better to do, isnt it an invasion of your privacy anyway

Hi folks my two jills have had there first litters this year and iv noticed that there coats have turned
a slight yellowie colour does any one know why this is will it whiten again ??
My albino's are slightly yellow round there necks, i have found if they are castrated or spaeyed they tend to loose the yellowing
-
Anybody ever had a problem with there vasectomised hob getting a swolled testicle ?????
Yes mine did it was testicular cancer, he was castrated but had to be pts as the cancer had also infected other parts of his body
-
Thanks for your imput everyone, i have heard of at least 4 vasectomys either not working or reversing this year which is a bloody pain
-
Is it me or have litter sizes been big this year & also loads of kits being born from vasectomised hobs that have not working properly
-
Lovely looking ferret there, how do you get them to sit still, all my pics are distorted , cant keep em still long enough :11:
-
i would use frontline as well
-
Its worth taking him to the vets just in case , you will know then for sure if its nothing to worry about then
-
same as ferretlove very easy to use and cheap. got mine in asda, if it go/s wrong take back & get a new one.
the reason i opted for this one was, its a 3 in one, its pretty compact & you dont have wires everywhere & i also use a lap top so could quite easily cart the lap top & printer to another house & not need a removals van.
I think the cost of ink cartridges is a rip off, i would buy a new printer first , :11:

Yes, but why add to it?
Frank.
I didnt...the farm cats did, so she would have been here regardless but wild.
At least this one will not be having any more kittens to add to the population
Id pay to get them all done if i had the money.
Ditchy, hopefully lots of bells and a soaking from the garden hose everytime she nears the table, cats can be trained too.
MOLL.
I have 5 feral cats here & they are kept under lock & key, i darnt let them out of there run they are prolific hunters no matter how much food they have given them. i hate them having the birds

Hi guys, looking to buy a printer to attatch onto my lap top. I want one i can print out pics to A4 size and the quality must be good...any suggestions....???? also a cheap place to get the cartridges from.....cheers
i have got a lexmark X1190 it does printing scanning & colour photo copying, the cartridges i buy are from the ink box, if you buy ones they have filled up them selves they will have 3 holes in the top, you can then fill them your self, if you fill your self only put a tiny bit of each colour in each hole or it will flood out.
I make cards and print tons of stuff, so use loads of ink, i find it ok to re fill the cartridges, even when printing photo quality stuff
hope this helps

WORKING FERRETS?

My 2 ferret were born 1st of may and i wouldnt work them untill around christmas, allow them time to mature, all my 2 do is play with each other, i dont think at this stage they will be of much use , would it not be better to take them out with a mature ferret who knows the ropes, i dont like the idea of 13 week old kits working it dosent seem right,
If you know your kits you should know the point they stop being kits & become adults, my 2 still look like kits & behave like them as well
