Lactol is a powdered milk you mix with warm water,i would increase her food if needed,still put in the mince for her

Thats what i mean i cant follow an instruction book i need showing , i cant knit either finishing school was clearly a waste of time in my case

I toyed with the idea of having a go as well,i think i would find it easier to have someone who has made them to show me rather than follow an instruction book

Personally i would leave her to it, she may bring any dead kits into the run part,you can remove them from there, clean her latrine area as normal & to up food as needed, you could give her some lactol if you wish

Yes i do,my two are brothers have never been seperated,obviously if there was a problem then i would have seperated them,there 13 months old now so far there still getting along fine

Not many window cleaners use ladders anymore, they have long poles to reach the top ones mmmm could be an option i have never seen a female window cleaner :whistle: there must be a reason why i havent

Next time, say yes, go and clean thier windows and afterwards give them an invoice. £20 per hour should do nicley Oh i need a new job & theres not a window cleaner by me,mind i am not up a ladder so maybe not

I know exactly what you mean whenever i am cleaning the livingroom window on the front of the property someone always say's '' you can come and clean mine when you have finished'' Why do they do it? it pisses me off as well

i wouldnt leave them with the jill for 12 weeks it would knacker her 7 - 8 weeks is fine imo I agree 8 weeks is plenty long enough,i boarded a jill & 12 kits here some yrs ago & the jill came down with milk fever,she sadly died despite being trated by the vet ,the kits were as big as her & still trying to suckle, poor cow had nothing left for herself,she had done a brilliant job & paid the ultimate price

Good point smudger, i have had a dozon ferrets in a court in the past & it became evident to me that one smaller hob was not being allowed to eat what he wanted, he wasnt skin & bone by any means ,but the 4 jills in the court ruledb the roost & i noted the behaviour more so after the V hob had done his job. Dragging him away from the food & generally doing what hormonal jills do, but once i removed him & another older hob & placed them in a cage of there own he put on weight & soon became his old self again But i think just the feel of a ferret tells you

Well said my understanding is that a greyhound ferret is simply a long thin ferret,not these poor things no bigger than a hamster with a a tail, i have heard the term whippit ferret & micro ferret also,but again is it simply a small offspring or is it a case there kept on a very limited amount of food i wonder

Awwwwwww how exciting leave her food all the time to pick at & basically leave her to deliver them, she will do the hard work ,so just take each day at a time ,keep us updated

This ones a bit sentimental my husband doing what he loved, but can no longer do it due to his health This ones my son & our lurcher monty who is no longer with us And my other lad with one of the ferrets
