  1. Personaly i think its very much cluching at straws to quote case law from a book which is more than 15 years old which is most likely refering to an indavidual case which is even older, public opiion has changed a great deal in that space of time regarding animal welfare and rights etc so i definitely wouldnt rely on a definition from a book highlighting a specific case, i would keep myself within the exact wording of the actuall law that exists, not something someone once defined it as many years ago. You who's clutching at straws pal.......so you blindly follow the act which was made
  2. well your right to a point, but theres nothing to stop you putting the peg in the ground down the hole, i know some who sit the trap on top of the peg. if you do it this way there would be no limit to the depth, you could put it. personaly like you oldroyd i usualy peg, just outside the entrance

    muck boots

TOMO excuse me ignorance are they made by muck or different make ? are they as warm ?AND AGREE WITH YOUR COMMENT OVER TREADS /SOLE...ONLY THING WHICH LETS THEM DOWN Regards Steve YES genuin muck boots, the one with the camo top. they are still waterproof , and warm. but in my opinion are NOT as good as these new " LA CROSSE" . theres been a big add over a few weeks in the cmw for them, they are £54 , from uk covers. there advantage is there rubber all the way to the top , so they wont shred like the muck boot, also the sole is excelent proper walking boot. only had the

hold your horses there fella, they are good boots but the sole wears very quik. mine wore out in 6 month. bought them at the midland , and by the following march 6 month later they were like racing sliks. i have just bought the one advertised in the cmw called "LA CROSSE" they have a real hiking boot sole, and so far are going strong, had them 4 month now. these are the best i have tried so far
  8. you wouldn't be the first to think of it whin, thought about doing the same myself.
  9. fourtrack does 30 to the gallon, but there not much space in the back, so you have to use evry availble inch
  10. why does evryone keep saying the springer is a retriver the springer is just as its name impplies , its used to spring game from cover,. in other words its a flushing dog. dont get me wrong alot of springers retrive well. but i have seen some on shoots that were usless. having said all this i had a springer cross lurcher, but she died befor 1 year old, theres plenty of threads on here about springer crosses, and some pics.
  11. WOW, that comes across as a very elitest attitude , you hate the fact they hate to be paid. remanisant of edwardien values. of course beaters should be paid, there giving up either free time (weekends) or having a day of work. not only should they get piad, they should also get a beaters day, and if there regulars and have the keepers trust, then rabbiting , pigion shooting permision . should be given. get in the 21st century fella
  12. cant you keep them together, keep the run , just 1 section. if its a dog and bitch, just bring one in the house when in season

  16. there is a lot already about this on here, click the search at the top corner. i wrote a big piece about it that i cant be aresed to do again, sufice to say it doesnt even work properly, my mate witnessed 2 rats and a vixen run from 3 difrent warrens after the expostion . this was on a demo. wich was witnessed by 7-8 farmers and keepers. none of them bought the machine after this demo. wich was good. also there are a number of these for sale second hand regularly in the farming papers, this tels me there no good , as most farmers hang on to the oldest tools.
  17. yes its a problem brimmer, i have 9 in my court. 2 of wich are small hobs from last year, but boy are they fat, the jills that i tend to work the most ore nice and lean, but not skinny. i tend to feed 1 rabbit a day for this many, although i will somtimes put a hare in , and leave it 3 days. and also somtimes go a day without food
