  1. So what do people think is a reasonable membership fee??? I was thinking of £5 a year??? Obviously it'll need feedback from people that are interested in joining, but i'd be happy to pay that for membership????
  2. So any other suggestions about what you'd like to get from a club??? I'm starting to knock together a website, just to get the ball rolling and then as we get a few members on board, we can look to getting a better site done that'll be just for members!!! The bring a friend day and child days would be good, plus i'm sure we can get days put on to be raffled off on a night down the boozer, or through the club site!!! So lets have any more ideas you've got????
  3. I'd imagine a boozer somewhere near newcastle, that way it'd incompass, northumberland and places a bit further down too!!!!! Plus it'd be nice and close for me.......
  4. LDR's place or if you want to see the wilds of the North East, Hippychicks place !!! LOL !! Cheers. How the hell did i get roped into this....bugga off Its like the maybeline(spelling?) advert......cos you're worth it!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I think a small membership fee that will go towards events for the club to put on, will stop just people joining for the sake of it, and hopefully keep it to people genuinely interested in thier dogs!!! I'll look at getting a forum up and running by the new year, i've also got contacts who can do stuff like t shirt printing and mugs car stickers, fleeces etc etc, whatever people would be interested in really, i dont want it to be some club that people belong to and nothing happens, i want it to be somewhere people go to meet likeminded folk, have a good craic and look forward to the next meet
  6. You'd love it!!!!! So what do you say then.....partner???????
  7. It could be if you want to take the horns and be in charge of everything terrier related???
  8. I was gonna get a lightforce one, but have been told off everyone i've spoke to with them that they leak like mad and burn out switches!!!!
  9. I've heard of them up at Kielder!!!
  10. Right then, for those who are interested and all the people who have PM'd me regarding setting up a lurcher club, lets have some opinions of what sort of things we'd all want to get from it??? Obviously a fair few people would want an annual show in the summer, alot of people expressed an interest in having a monthly meet at a pub or something similar, possibly with some kind of a raffle or something similar!! We could contact other clubs and have club Vs club lamping comps or ferreting days?? So here's your chance to put forward your ideas and suggestions of what you'd like to get out
  11. I dont mind a hard mouth as long as they aint munching on it to kill it, the dog i lost this year was hard mouthed, but he did very little damage to the meat, but a retrieve for me is a must, couldn't think of anything worse than having to walk across a great big field for a rabbit!!!!!
  12. Good catch rate, strike, speed, stamina, turning ability, jump, retrieve, running the beam, not hunting up, squatters, not pulling up, not yapping, good feet and skin, soft mouthed!!!!! That'd be enough for me!!!!!!!!
  13. Hope he does well for you mate, i like the look of him, would've had him meself if i could've done!!!! Woodga will have him fully trained by the time you get him........ .....result!!!!!
  14. Classic!!!!! Yeah he's really gonna lie about shooting 2 rabbits!!!!! Would he not have said i shot 200 but couldn't carry them all so just brought 2 back............ some people eh!!!!!!!.....
  15. I've always thought 8 hours minimum to digest anything you've fed them!!!

Spot on mate, i was well impressed, read about them a while ago, and just thought it'd be a bit of a gimmick, just goes to show how wrong you can be!!!! When we put the lamp on them they never even took a break from eating!!!!! Then add the battery life being saved and having a dim light to navigate any awkward fences or gates, well worth the extra money!!!!!!!!!
  19. Anyone use these?? I was out last night with a mate and its the first time i've seen one, it'll be next on my list of things to get!!!!! It enabled us to walk right up on these 3 things stood eating and they were oblivious to us being there or that a lamp was on them!!! Just gotta convince the other half that mine needs replacing now!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. The dog you start with is the dog you have to run all the way through the comp as far as I know W.h Scouser3038 correct!!!!!!
