    I'm still on foot over the farmland , & set nowhere near 200 traps, in the week ? (maybe that's why I'm still skint ! ),.......i always try & get £10 , as a per mole rate (agricultural) Depends though , you have to knock the price down sometimes if there is alot of moles on the ground. (nothing wrong with catching in gardens, still using your skills to catch em, & sometimes can be even trickier to get them, depending on the situation.)

    I used the trapline only, for one whole season, cause my half - barrels were done, & when I tried to order more (barrels) the quality had went right downhill , from my usual supplier,.....(then i eventually found ones I was happy with) Took me a good while to try & get used to the trapline too, & to achieve a similar catch rate as I did with the Duffus. Overall, they werent that humane, i discovered (for me) & a poor substitute for my half barrels.

    Most (if not all ? ) the commercially produced mole traps available, you can catch with , just depends what an individual gets on with best, or prefers ?

    Just noticed Jeff's new book, on there, ......contains alot of detailed content of the ways of working, of the old mole catchers , of yesteryear, including the evolution of the old traps, etc,........(right up my street, that sort of stuff !) ,......i really enjoyed those chapters,....

    I asked for a free sample trap, & was kindly obliged,.......& that's correct, i wasn't keen on it, therefore didn't place an order. (oh wait a minute,......you don't think that's them in my photos there , do you ? lol)

    Why do you ask ? ? (& my seller rebuts that his Putanges are fake ! ,.....& Mr Kenyon, seemingly finds the stainless even better than the standard ones. Apparently, alot of folk have learned from him , off You Tube, etc , (& on THL !)......& my sellers feedback from customers, was almost 100% satisfied, .....ive observed ?),.......but maybe you should be the new 'go too ' guy for tuition & advice, etc , regarding the Putange ? lol. (who knows ? ?)

    & as darkness falls, we come to lift the last two of the days , trapline,.........& once again , 'Torquemada' here's the results in those callous traps of mine ! ,.....I hope your appreciating all this photography, here ? Iol ( & your point discredited now,...) so over & done.

    That's correct i purchased a pair to experience them in the hand, & so I was better placed to see if they were ever going to be for me ? ,..& their definitely not ! ,.....I don't like the design , or their awkwardness to set, & they just seem amateurish to me. Im also sure now they would be a 'piece of piss' too install in the run,....which i imagine alot of you think is a good thing ? (although I don't, necessarily) ,.....that 'No mol' isn't a million miles away, from the French (& both untraditional) Putange.....& as I've had to repeat often,.... i set ONE alot of years

    Oh really ? , & what 'make' would they come under ? reason i ask is , where I bought supposedly sells the standard ones too, as well as these stainless, which Mr Kenyon reckons are better ?

    I also put it to the seller , what you claimed about them not being genuine, etc , .....& he wasn't too happy at all !,.....they are sourced from France & they are the ones the guy on You Tube ,. "Putanges the movie", etc, recommends as top quality 'stainless steel Putanges". I think the person I bought from is a friend or relative of Mr Kenyon , (who used to be on here as 'Nicepix' I believe) who supplies them for any UK catcher who wants them ......(he actually refers those who have bought from him, to watch the series of videos for tuition on them !),.......if it's true all that,

"THEY'RE NOT ACTUALLY THAT MUCH OF A HUMANE TRAP IN MY OPINION" ,.....as you described the "current crop" of "half - barrels" & gave your reasons. ......& as I've expressed before, you & the other pretender here , are hardly capable of trying to belittle an 'old hand' (at the game).....on here !
