  13. Hi all, don't no why i'm tell you all but i just got my first permission today on a big ish farm well for me. All my old permission are no bigger than 10 fields at a time and small woods that only hold a few bunnies. Do have a few bits where i mooch about but you all know how thats is, not that i would run off and leave nets/ferrets like that post i read. Happy days for me ahead hopefully.
  14. No need in live mice for training and yes its illegal. Ferrets will chase rabbits on instinct(well most), the training day need will happen underground in the bunnies warrens. Main training you can do is make sure you can pick them up out side their caged environment without them running of scared, so lots of handling which it sounds like you already do. You would need to learn what to do if your ferret don't come back out of the warren before you go out, are you going to use a locator or go old fashion?
  15. It wasn't the the dog or ferret, bolted in about a minute.
  16. OK will try to get a picture up but anyway, went out fretting yesterday and the first bunny we bolted had a big hole under its front leg going into its chest. The front leg had lack of fur on it and some loss on one of its back legs, what is it????? Not much action in the fields so moved to the woods where bolt four but one slipped the net, one of the bunnies my mate dropped and it ran off with the terrier snapping at its ass, the rabbit ran its little legs off in a big circle and back netted itself in the next warren which we had netted up lucky as, mad chase in the tree's.
  17. Well done mate, do enjoy your post. Your challenge went well and you will start getting piss off when you have to dig. Actually i think you would miss digging.
  18. good work mate, nice to get out in the snow down this way.
