  1. i tried the report button on a different thread, then couldn't post, but i reported darcy just to try it sheer class :clapper:
  2. My advice in this situation? Rise above him, there are shitheads all around, dont bite, ignore him. And report every incident to the police. Ignore his solicitors letters and dont do anything to drop yourself in the shit. If you arent doing nothing wrong theres nothing he can do about it ! ! !
  3. Well id love to see one taking game,i dont doubt their prey drive or stamina, just find it hard to believe that they would be any good for any thing other than big stuff? Cant see them being an all round type even on pre-ban stuff?
  4. You could not be further from the truth. they are quick enough for them in a big place or spring them from a seat in the long grass. A good friend of mine has a male I got for him from show home he had it out yesterday afternoon got several large fast types and a fox. It is very easy to knock what you know nothing about. Im not knocking the breed mate, just find it hard to believe that a big lump of a dog like that could course a fox with any sort of success rate. Ok it may be able to catch a few in the rough cover but as i say i cant see it lasting a very long course on your ave

    A load of bollox

Theres nobbers in all walks of life and on every corner of our tiny existence. Unfortunately being able to hide behind a pc brings allsorts of low life to the forum like flies round shite. Sometimes the posts on here make my piss boil, other times they make me laugh my bollox off. I keep myself to myself these days,i know who i know and who i trust, and its not many.
  6. Cant imagine a pure ridgeback being able to catch a fox, unless the fox was old or hurt in someway?
  7. Yep. Them health and safety executives are worse than the old bill. Make sure you have your certificate of conformity and your vaccination records from your vets. You can end up getting a lot of grief if you dont have all your relevant documents on you and could even end up being detained for a while
  8. Seen an older Deerhound x stalk its prey years ago. The same dog used to run just out of the beam when lamping, and often took the rabbit from behind before it got a run . Was quite good to watch.
  9. Whats all this "if you cant afford the vets bills you shouldnt have a dog" bollox? In an ideal world we would all have enough money to pay every vet bill, and in an ideal world we would all go along and buy our houses and cars with cash. Wakey wakey, its not an ideal world we live in :clapper:
  10. Sounds like the lad was a bit clueless as how to go on? Been there myself, not just with the dogs but in lots of situations in life. All i put to one side in the way of money is a few hundred quid, and i count myself lucky that im able to afford to do that. There was a time when lurchers were owned by ,how shall i say it?, not so well off people? As it happens theres still a lot of lurcher owners still like that. Its so easy to sit on here and preach what should of been done or what shouldnt of been done. Each man/woman has a price on their dog or dogs. 6 years ago i paid £1200 on my beddy
  11. Good riddance to bad rubbish,he never had any heart to play for the Toon and theres not many Toon players seem to have much commitment. Ashley made some shocking f@ck ups,but the lack of commitment from the players is why we went down. Im not bothered no more, football has lost its way completely. Too many prima donnas demanding big money, money that comes out of the working mans pocket.
  12. weeeeeeee fun time. i smell something? Great view from up here. wheres it gone?
  13. Just a couple for the pot. young uns up to mischief. Looking a bit older now. up to no good.
  14. Num axes, canicalm. Think i paid about £65 for a one after borrowing a one off a friend, google the name for sites and prices mate.
  15. Im going to be honest,if i was out with my lurchers and one of them started getting stuck into a sheep i'd want the dog shot. F@ckin dog that does that is no good to me and is only going to bring trouble to my door. Its a different matter if some gimp of a gamey or farmer starts shooting at your dogs just because their running the land, but if one of mine turned sheep worrier/killer it would have to go. It wouldnt be nice seeing one of my dogs shot, but who wants a sheep killer? Not me. Everytime you went out with the dog you would be shitting yourself in case it chased a rabbit, missed it and
  16. Get one of them crossed with a JRT X Greyhound and i reckon the ultimate lurcher will not be far off being produced
  17. Cant imagine a pure ridgeback taking much in the way of british game? They look a bit heavy for catching anything, can imagine they would make a mess of anything they did catch though
  18. Never been caught poaching

    The Night

AAAAhhhhh yes its them daisys that wake me up every morning as they open their petals to greet the morning, noisey little bleeders they are :clapper:
  20. Raw minced meat, liver, chicken, beef, tripe (the smelly stuff) anything that the dogs catch, guts and skins included. Bones, meaty bones, sheeps heads. Also feed fish once a week, normally mackerel. Used to feed dried complete but only use it as a last resort now. Dogs shit less on raw, like a lot less, drink less water so therefore piss less. Teeth are in better condition, coats are better condition and strangely, the dogs are more responsive??? Additives in dried foods???? I dont know? I get 30 packs of 3 different types of raw meats, thats 90 packs in all, £25. The lad also throws in a bin bag o
  21. Whats happened to millet? Aint seen him around for a while!!!!!!!
  22. Ive quite often not done 100 in a season never mind one night  What is it about the number game lads find so attractive?
  23. Sorry but i only see one dog Was it a horse show or something?
  24. Well im no expert on dogs, just a bloke with a lurcher, but i reckon the breeding of a dog must make a big difference. I know theres good dogs out there that may not have come from 'good' working lines, but my young dog has been so easy to enter compared to my older bitch. It just makes me think that breeding has a lot to do with it? This fella has never let me down,is steady, reliable and gives 100% every time. Thats not down to me,thats down to his breeding. Ive not put nearly enough stuff in front of him that he deserves or worked him anywhere near enough that he could handle, but he
