damn right fur and feather before the women folk ( thank god the girlfriend loves my ferrets )

if your serious about ferreting then their worth it 100%. They save time and energy and most important of all you have a much better chance of not leaving your ferret out in the field. its well worth the money.

hey, i have two questions. i have two big male polecats. I hunt them one at a time but would it be worth my while buying another collar and hunting them together. would it increase the number of kills if they hunt together. i seem to have no problem bolting rabbits from small warrens but on larger warrens a lone ferret seems to have trouble. Also one of my ferrets has gone blind in one eye. the eye has turned blue and when you move your finger on the blind side he doest respond while while he does on the other side. for weeks he has been whining and hasn't been very active but recently

2 ferrets are def better but if you pay them enough attention to a ferret on its own ive found them to get on very well

great looking ferret, good look with her

a get yourself a pair of welding gloves and take the ferret and handle him every day as much as possible, not using gloves is diffidently better but man those little guys can bite and after a good few bites you might get nervous, which is a big mistake. so hang in there itll be well worth when they begin to hunt for you.

thanks lads hes collared alright and hes hunted with the other two ferrets but most of the warrens i do are huge i mean we long use nets cause theres too many burrows to use purse nets so hes very often off on his own

Hey, I have a male polecat ferret that is 8 months and I’ve had him with about two months. He’s working well but he has killed under ground the last five times he was out. Twice he’s dragged the rabbit out of the burrow which is funny and saves digging but is still time consuming. i have two older males that kill occasionally but don't lay up. We’ve made a special effort to keep quiet but he still kills even when the older two don't. So anyone have any tips to stop him killing, cause he’s a great ferret and accounts for a lot of rabbits but the lay ups are ruining our day

ya it was a disgrace that it was introduced in the first place that one victory for the antis put ferreters, hunters , fishermen etc in danger everywhere. i dout itll be lifted any time soon but the main thing now is to make sure no other part of our sprots gets banned!!!!!

took em out for a run today, one was totally relaxed and let me handle him, the other was still nervous so i put him back in the cage. the quiet ferret (fred)freaked the second they were separated and bit me on the finger right under the nail, the little bugger. but at least he was ok up to that point. so at least their coming along some bit

thanks lads any bit of info helps. Ive heard of putting your finger down their throats before alright so i mite give that a try as well as lots of handling. hey whats a good quality brand of locater? Some thing on the lower price scale if possible.

hey. im new to the game of ferreting but have been shooting and fishing with years. i recently bought two polecat ferrets, that are 11 months old. i know i should probably have reared them from kits but i took the easier option. my problem is that one ferret is very calm and can easily be handled but the other is totally unpredictable and when ever he is afraid or nervous he can bite to the bone . so any tips for calming him down??????? or will it just take time?
