    Great news lads and lasses dog will be ok not as bad as pet vet said after giving him 100 notes last night went to eye vet today and he said it will be ok so I gave him 150 aswell pants down but dog will have to work it off to earn his keep chugged

    Any photos of him?How tall is he at a year old? There are a few on other deerhound threads on here but he has just run into a barb fence tonight and looks like he willl lose an eye I'm gutted

    Dog has just run into barb fence thought nothing of it then noticed his eye closed took to vet not good news am gutted he is only a year and looking forward to season anyone run a one eye dog

    It's believed that Romanys arrived in England around the 13th century, but I'm sure there would have been lurchers in use before then, I think the real reason for the original collie lurcher was to try to disguise a running dog as a herding Dog. In those days any long legged herding dogs owned by peasants were docked by law in the belief that it would stop them from catching game. Any dogs owned by peasants that lived within the royal hunting grounds, other than herding dogs, had to fit through a dog gauge. If they didn't they had a front foot cut off! Fair play

    I always thought it was the working classes miners steel works etc depending on where you lived was type of dog you needed owning a pure greyhound in thoughs days was asking for trouble If not a noble or rich just what makes sence to me

    My first x deer grey has turned into a c@&t won't bring anything back he has just over a year and all my work has gone out the window if he sees other dogs makes a b line towards them not matter what I do which will be handy if anyone rock up any tips

His or her choice some rough some smooth some like bull x I get that and I understand it's fun just would like to know what made the diff as you know chart how could you seperate ours same DNA suppose it would de colour many thanks Davey

    Answer me this then my dog came 3rd in rough dog over 23 and not placed in deerhound lurcher I understand some good looking dogs there but I couldn't seperate any of them if anything the fawn dog that came second should of taken it jmho good day though just interested to see what seperate 1st from 5 th
