having a read up and a lot of people seem to be de-gassing the plastic bottles twice a day to stop explosions, how long does this need doing for? also people say it turns to snot in the glass . why?

yeah lets the blow the smoke up the arse of a boxy looking over weight airgun that shoots straight namely the rapid 7, people only like the gun because it was one of the first succesful multi shot . move with the times and pick up a new / up to date model different gun , look at fx guns using new twist barrel technology (makes rapids look like gat guns) hw100 or daystate are knocking out some good stuff. airarms as well . its just down to personal choice as all up to date airguns out shoot the shooter

cider press , what can i use instead of green oak?

lol yeah i bet you would , on one of my permission i have a large apple orchard and the farmer has said help yourself so waste not want not and all that . 30l press on ebay £180 but im sure i can knock sometjing up to do the job -
trying to make a cider press and the only oak i can find is stupidy expensive or too far away. what else can i use that wont taint the cider?

you know what , i never really took much notice of birds over crops until this year, im constantly scanning fields lol the wife hates it and has to remind me to keep an eye on the road 'yep that field is cut , wheres are them birds going ,who does this field belong too lol' well today farmers everywhere are starting cutting and those i spoke to are saying we are expecting a bit of rain this weekend today i may of landed another nice bit of permission which im hoping i will use for decoying ... 7000 acres of it !! as im such a poor shot i think this year is going to get quite e

exactly the same scope with exactly the same problem , i ended up changing scopes

you mean full legal power 12ft lb go on bbs and have a look on there , you will probably pick up a pcp for that money but remember you will need a charging bottle or if your fit ( if not you will be) a pump.
