fairplay to thoses lads and there dogs you put the time in with the right dogs on the right land with the right owners you get the results
-
yeah defonatley i think that if your not prepared to get stuck in with the dog or dogs defonatley quarry you shouldnt be slipping the dog on one of these big fellas,me mate told me of a stag that folded his best dog in half like a piece of card board he didnt want to runive never saw red done prebanmyself but i know of lads who have done them using decent bull crosses single and doubled reckon the stags take abit of stopping need a dog that has no reverse gear
Ive heard of people taking stags but there allways seems to be 2 dogs involved and a lamp or fence. Im not knocking the lads who have done it as the lads that have in my opinion are as game as theyre dogs as it takes bottle to slip there dogs on something that big and fast.

i defonatley would stop running him for a while mate once they start that its hard to stop it ive been there done it learnt from my mistakes id take the dog out ferreting if hes brokre to ferrets let him watch and catch a few in the net give him all the praise he can get then when hes a bit more mature give him some easy sitters

i live not far from a town centre and it isnt a shock now to see munty on the local parks on grass verges now had a phone call off my mate at 4 in the morning saying he had saw a badger running around the carpark where he works i think the wildlife is defonatley becoming more adaptable to there urban surroundings

cracking dog mate lads i know used to run them alot on the deer years ago

i lamp the same way as you milliken dont really go into woods dont like to wake the old pheasant and mag pies up and the poxy woood pigeons i stick to the edge of the wood,i flick the lamp off but if theres a squotter ive missed when the dogs on its way back i will lamp it if not the dog ends up finding it on return if you know what i mean,my old bullx bitch used to have 3 or for off 1 slip theres some lads off this site who have saw her do it so i think sometimes it depends on the dog and the owner and situation I used to alot of gateway lamping and subaru lamping with me pals years ago had some good times with that but i think the best way is to keep it so know one knows youve even been there

i believe in showing young dogs a few bunnies through the summer not so much lamping just abit of day time walking to get there eye in on there quarry nothing to over board if they can knock a few day time bunnies off lamped ones in september should be no problem
-
looks handy dog mate looks pretty well biult for a 3/4 some of the 3/4 ive saw can come off more greyhound and they havent always got the weight behind they to hold stuff down if you know what i mean but with me saying that some of the best ones ive saw run have been 3/4 crosseshes my brothers dog im not sure where he had him up the valleys some where huntsmanowz will know as he picked him up

I think it all depends on the type of work your doing ive got a second generation halfx bitch shes game as they come but isnt the best when the quarry steps a gaer up at times brilliant and cover work marks like a stone even barks to let the terriers know somethings in cover got a brilliant nose too,my other bitch is a 3/8 5/8 bull greyhound shes got the speed the gameness and she,s got plenty of pace if the course goes on abit longer then expected
