Lawrence some people will not like the answer to this but its just my opinion. i first started working with hybrids because i could not get pure stuff , they were border x and black stuff x they worked well but some to hard for my likeing, don't get me wrong there is time and the place for a hard dog its just i don't see the point in haveing a dog that is laid up fo a week or two and can't be used ,as my dogs work with me to make a living. The coats on the hybrids are realy good tight and waterproof, but size was at times a problem there was always litter wastage especially in the border x

i used to have black dogs and bedlington x blackstuff , bedlington x borders now its just pure bedlingtons give the bitch the time she needs but also give here plenty of chances to see what going on Hybred

PBurns i don't know any terrier that can trench 20 ft down through a pipe no they can't blast rock and they don't carry a chain saw , well mine don't who said they could but a small dog in the counrty i hunt would get knocked to bits then would'nt work for a week because it has to rest up , not much use if you get another lambing call i said a big dog what i call a big dog will be different from you or wireviz .Suppose it come back to the usual on the internet what's a big dog , what is working , etc Hybred
