  1. I've used these for the last two seasons and i've never had a rabbit shy away from them, although you do need to wear sunglasses when setting them . Cheers OBE.
  2. I wouldn't have thought so mate because i'm sure he's got a litter of pups at the moment. Cheers OBE.
  3. I really like them, they're excellent for target practice with the air rifle when the fishings slow. I'd sink as many of the fecking things I could . Seriously though a few of my local waters have banned the use of them due to the amount of complaints from OTHER ANGLERS says it all I think. Cheers OBE.
  4. did i say there was a problem???? it was a simple question which arose from curiosity, you seam very defencive, no one said the informatioon was being misused did they!!!! chill out pal No you didn't say there was a problem it must have been how I read your reply. Cheers OBE
  5. Ditto!! I only needed the figures for those people currently employed or training to be keepers. Cheers Oldblueeye. why do you NEED to know?????? where is the information going ???? good point Firstly let me say I can assue you theres plenty of people both on here and other forumsthat know me well enough to know I would not abuse the information I get. Secondly I should have worded my earlier reply better when I said I "needed" the figures, infact it's not a matter of need but more just genuine curiosity. Now if any of you think that theres another motive b

  7. Hhmm, exactly a week since the post went up and no replies from any keepers, you'd have thought that one of them somewhere would have required a "FREE" bit of pest control doing. cheers Oldblueeye.
  8. Very nice fish them mate, do you find that lives are the best bait and if so what size do you use ?
  9. Like someones already said, big fat juicy lobworms they'll take them when they won't touch anything else.
  10. That's a male tench at 6 1/2 pound and the theory is that the females grow on average double the size of males in any given water, so that means where you're fishing has got the potential to throw up a double figure Tench, and i'm sure theres that many waters in the country capable of that. Well done mate keep it up, make your next photo a double figure tench. All the best Oldblueeye
  11. ive had them on halibut pellet before but dog food or cat food takes the beeting some places have banned it because it catches so much try it It's not been bannned because it catches so much it's been made because in the amounts that some anglers were using it, it was causing all sorts of problems with the water quality and putting the fishes health at risk. all the best Oldblueeye.
  12. Cheers lads, I'll let you know how I go on
  13. As the title says i'm gonna France in a few weeks and the place where i'm stopping has got a lake thats stocked with Black/large mouth bass. I'm presuming that the best method to catch them is on the lure does anyone know anything about them and the best method to use Cheers oldblueeye.
  14. My favourite bait/method is pop up boilies fished on the surface with a controller float although it's not always the most successful method it certainly gets your heart pumping as a big mouth comes up out of the depths. I also had quite a few fish last year on Dynamite Baits Halibut Boilies. all the best Oldblueeye.
  15. Still keeping an eye out for her mate while i'm out and about. I'm sure somebody somewhere has got to have seen her. Have you put posters up round the area ?? it might just jog someones memory.
  16. Good point, I never thought about the fact that a lot of stillwaters are artificially stocked, Although the EA are now putting a lot of investment into stocking certain rivers throughout the country.
  17. I'm getting really impatient now I want to start coarse fishing the river but due to the close season I am unable to do so. Although anglers that want to fish stillwaters are allowed to fish all year round. What does everyone else think should the close season be abolished and is it right that stillwaters remain open while rivers shut. oldblueeye
  18. I was out a few weeks ago with my brother in law walking along a river when he shouted " F***ing hell i've just spat some chewing gum into river and that trout there has just swallowed it" so they might be telling you the truth. Although i've got to say I can't imagine chewing gum doing fish any good.
