  2. Ive found a butcher that will give me ckicken carcases and bones ect,ive tried feeding my terriers and lurcher on it but it makes them shit concrete.i tried adding a bit of dried complete feed in with it but they leave it. is this constipation normal for dogs on butchers meat?any suggestions?
  3. I have fed my lurcher and terriers on raw meat and bones before but not rabbits,do i have to gut them/skin them or not. can they eat whole carcasses, bones and all? and if so will it give my scrounging lurcher any ideas about eating them in the field when lamping? Any advice would be appreciated
  4. Just checked again and 2 more although one was covered in maggots the poor bugger i reckon ive done him a good turn. I havent got a digi camera, only the one on my phone,i will ask the kids if it would be any good and if so get snapping. chuffed as f***.
  5. After watching Woodgas cd i made up 20 using wires from shop bought snares,a bit short but i thought id try it anyway. Set them yesterday while walking the dog,not really expecting much as i had never had any success snaring in the past. This morning i checked them to find 2 caught and 2 snares broken (knots come undone i think or maybe fox as there are a lot around there) anyway 2 rabbits is better than a kick up the bum. Thanks woodga for a very informative dvd. Im off to make some more.
  6. I have four terriers and one lurcher. i keep the terriers for terrier work and the lurcher for lurcher work. Two of the russels are eleven years old and retired from hard work years ago but they can still gum a rat or two.I have a young russel and a lakey/russel both work reasonably well when given the chance and the lurcher is only 12mths and hopefully will be a reasonable worker. I have met people that work their dogs and when they get smashed up or become too old they out the dog, not me mine are part of the family and are here for life. Have as many dogs as you like and treat em well
