  9. I bought my Bettinsoli Silver 12g second hand last month for clays, first gun and I think it's cracking. After reading all the advice on here, other forums and magazines I went for the best fit over make. I tried Berettas, Brownings, Lanbers and AYAs. The Bettinsoli was the best fit by far. I would definitely go with the gun that feels the best. At first I really wanted a Beretta 687 I had found with realy well figured wood but it just felt awkward. Happy Shopping!

  16. Well my SGC was hand delivered by my FEO this afternoon as he wanted me to tighten up some security before he gave it to me. Well happy. let the expense begin. From sending off the forms to arrival of the certificate has taken just short of twelve weeks that was in Merseyside if anyone is interested. Cheers again for all the invaluable advice. Alex

  18. Is anyone a member of NOBS? Do they find it any good and do you get much chance to beat or pick up? Thinking about joining to meet people with a similar interest. Hope this is in the right place. Thanks Alex
  19. Just had my FEO around for my interview for my SGC and it went fine and he saw no reasons why I shouldn't be granted it. Big thanks to everyone on the forum especially Sporting Shooter and Sean3513. Everyone's advice has been invaluable, not just about the SGC. From applying to the interview it's taken exactly eight weeks the FEO told me it would be about another four to six weeks for the certificate to come through. Thanks Again Alex
  20. Evening guys, Thinking about buying a Beretta 687 privately looks in nice nick in the photos. What should I be looking for in terms of problems when buying not just this gun privately second hand but any O/U shotgun? Cheers Alex Also anything about the actual gun generally as well.
  21. Thanks again for all the info guys, and Sage shame you weren't my local RFD.
