  1. imagine that gun. now imagine woodpigeon hunting. now put the two together..........
  2. i should have expected this. by! i'm going back to the airgunning section
  3. for large amounts of land yes it would cost money but for smallholders with around 20-30 free range chikins 40 pounds and some labour is worth the lives of many foxes
  4. ok, i admit it would be expenisve for lage farms but for smallholders like that free range chicken farmer it would not be that expensive. and i think 40 pounds is worth the lives of how ever many foxes attxk his runs over time
  5. your statement, f**** the ban makes me speculate that you may be a redneck....... only a guess
  6. i don't want to shoot a fox charlie thats my point! anyway it's illegal to shoot foxes with an air rifle
  7. maybe lambs are hard to protect from foxes but all that famrer had to do on the video was to make his fence taller. the foxe have had five years to "sus out" my fence and they still havent. my 9 ft tall fence has a 1ft overhang and at the bottom has 1 ft of wire going into the ground. this extra effort means that i don't have to shoot foxes.
  8. why is this un researched? we have had chickens with this fence for 6 years and we have never had an attack
  9. Don't shoot foxes or snare foxes as that farmer could have easily avoided all those chicken deaths by making his fence to 9 feet and adding an overhang. i have a nine foot fence with an overhang and have NEVER had a foxy attack. this is what all gamekeepers and farmers should do to protect there poulty/gamebirds. i am a avid rabbit and squirrel shooter/snarer but have nothing against foxes. please don't snare or shoot foxes as they are NATIVE and not introduced. i know there are foxes around my smallholding as i see tracks around my chicken run. PLEASE DON'T SNARE OR SHOOT FOXES!
  10. why do pepole shoot foxes? my chicken fence is 9ft and i have never had a fox attack for . i know that foxes are around as i see fox tracks ciculing the chicken fence. game birds and poultry can be easily protected by ading a few more feet to your fence. foxes are native to our country unlike rabbits or squirrels witch i hunt reguarly with air rifles. farmers and gamekeppers do not snare or shoot foxes. simply add a few more feet to your fence and an overhang. pigeon plucker

  16. oh. i'm intrested in eating squirrels. do fenn traps burst the guts if you catch the squirrels on the body or do they always catch squirrels on the head o neck.
