  3. was out tonight and the dog managed to catch a pigeon from the undergrowth, thought i would give it to ma 2 young jills, well when a dropped it in the cage one of them just about sh-t its self, and they both did nor seem keen, after a while they started to eat it, is this normal for them to be kinda wary at first, this is the first time they have had a full pigeon, usually feed them alpha ferret food, and chicken legs. cheers
  4. mines are 6 months old now and they just play nip, handling is the only cure, if you dont they will just bite all the more, put some kitten milk in the palm of your hand and let them drink it from there,
  5. keep handling them [bANNED TEXT], i have 2 young ones just now and an older hob and have never been bitten yet, mind the dog got nipped the other week, hanging from the dogs nose the old hob was lol, handle them every day they will calm down in the end. i think it is all about trust with them, no doubt someone on here will tell you otherwise bud.

  8. stop end, for yor info i had my last russel for 13 years and had one litter of her, i gave them away, so not for financial game, i will be keeping one pup from this bitches litter for working alongside the mother as the mother is a worker and my last one was to, so they are not the so called muppet russels you take about, i have had russels all my life, but just asked a simple question, no need for a dick head of an answer like you gave, maybe you just dont like russels, but hey ho everyone to there own, stig, i only asked as i saw a lad with a couple of russel cross patterdales at a show
  9. i have a 3yr old jack russel bitch, she is due in season this month and i am going the breed her, i have always bred my jack russels with other jack russels, but this time i fancy crossing this bitch with another kind of terrier ie patterdal/ or something , has any of you experts got any suggestions what would be a good kind of terrier to cross with my jack russel bitch. any info would be great ,

  12. no wonder hunting gets bad press with shite like that going on. just gives the do gooders more amo to try and get hunting banned
  13. i have had 2 young ones since june, they were 8 weeks old when i got them, never been bitten yet, i handle them every day, even my little boy 7yrs old handles them. they sometimes have a little play nip but it is nothing,i can even stick a finger through the mesh in the cage and not get bitten, mind when i put some chicken legs, in there is no way they will let go of them, so if they wanted to bite they could probably give me a good nip. plenty of handling and playing with them will sort out the problem, as said before gloves are a big no no, just asking for more trouble.
  14. if ah was a ferret ah would bite them freaks to lol
