  1. Got my Fac ok with the cabinet in my attatched garage allbeit in a separate cupboard(ex coalhouse) at the back of garage. The officer noted that the garage was well used, more like a utility room really. Extra security on main garage door was well received. The system works well as I'm straight in from hunting/shooting club, stuff stored, wellies off, no mess, everybody happy. Best of luck.
  2. Hi, I bought my LED LENSER P7 from Bagnall and Kirkwood up here in Newcastle upon Tyne with a separate coloured lens kit. They have an ebay site called a1tackleshop and post stuff all over. Hope this helps you. I use the P7 on my .22 rimfire and it is brilliant at well over 50yds, more than enough and with bog standard AAA batteries!! Regards, Bob.
  3. Had my T Bolt .22LR a couple of years now and find it a great little rifle, it is a pleasure to shoot. It is my vermin control tool(lamping bunnies on my local golf course)and mated with B&T Moderator,LED Lenser under barrel light and Winchester Subs it is deadly. The action is a quick straight pull coupled with 10 shot rotary magazine. Touch wood I have never had any feed problems which is reassuring in the dark. Top tang mounted safety is handy also. Never hunted with any other rifle so I cannot comment. Love it!
  4. Got my FAC 8 weeks after applying at the turn of the year with no problems from the Northumbria Police. Applied for 3 x .22 LR rifles for hunting and target shooting disciplines. Everyone most helpful!
  5. Thanks, that was really helpful. Are you a Gunsmith?
  6. Has anyone have any info on removing the barrel from my Browning T Bolt .22LR(new model).Cheers.
  7. Hi, I use my T Bolt .22 LR at my local shooting club for 25, 50, 75 & 100 yard targets and it is very accurate with consistent grouping. The action is easy to use and coupled with the flush rotary magazine I have never had a misfeed (touch wood). The trigger is a bit heavy but it is positive with hardly any travel and you do get used to it. Regards, Bob.
  8. HI, Just a quiery on RED DOT scopes. Do they have adjustment like telescopic sights i.e. ocular lens adjustment for focusing the reticle or in this case the red dot. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob.
  9. Getting a new scope and I fancy one of three in the 6-20 magnification / £200 range. The three are HAWKE SIDEWINDER IR Tac 30 6.5-20x44 with the new 20x1/2 mil dot reticle, the NIKKO STERLING Targetmaster 5-20x50 IR with the LRX reticle and the MTC VIPER in the same magnification. They all have similar tactical turret adjustment with 30mm tube. I will be bench rest target shooting in .22LR at 25,50,75 and 100 yards. Any advice to sway me would be appreciated. Regards, Bob.
  10. Thanks Mate for your reply, it seems that mod would be helpful to what is otherwise a cracking little rifle.Regards, Bob.
  11. Hi Mate, have you sold the scope. Regards, Bob
  12. Hi Mate, I have just bought a T Bolt .22 LR and it is a pleasure to use plus it is very accurate. You are right about the trigger, but what is trigger eez ? Regards, Bob.
  13. I have the 12ft lbs AirArms 510 SL and it is an absolute dream to use. With the extra range in FAC it must be a cracker. falconbob2004
  14. Thanks for your reply Sam, I watched the video with the review and it looks a good combination. My reply before this one I said .22cf instead of .22rf, please exuse my keyboard skills. Bob.
  15. Hi John, thanks for your reply. I have been browsing trying to get an up to date catalogue on the T bolt .22cf but they seem hard to come by. In the GUNMART video test the rifle had been cut back from its 22" and screwcut for the moderator and it looked spot on. The varmint barrel would allow this but I don't know about the thickness of the lighter sporter version. Being of the older generation I was impressed by the light weight of the rifle which is one of my requirements for field and club shooting. Anymore info out there? Bob. I was luck enough to own an original "T" bolt. The rifle was
  16. I am looking at the Browning T Bolt .22 as it appears to suit my requirements. Any experiences either good or bad with this rifle? Thanks, Bob
  17. I joined my local rifle club a year ago, I still go once or twice amonth,I recommend it. It is good for shooting as well as socialising with people. I've got my .22lr and .308 Sounds spot on, exactly why I am going down this route. Could you possibly give me an idea of your subscriptions for membership. Thanks, falconbob2004
  18. Hi, thanks for your interest. Yes I mean target shooting. I thought that by going down this route to get my F.A.C. I would benifit by having the instruction, especially on the safety aspects of shooting rimfire and having the facilities to sight in and practice with competition. I live Northumberland and I will be seeking permissions and clearances but I am not sure about being cleared for the golf course where I only shoot after hours lamping with the air rifle. Maybe it would be suitable for .17 rimfire, I dont know as it all seems to be a bit of a grey area reading stories from around th
  19. Hi, I was new into PCP air rifles and I bought the Air Arms S400 .22. It was a really accurate weapon but being the single shot version I personally found the gun no good for hunting, fumbling for pellets when a quic k second/third or more shots were going begging. I traded it in for the Air Arms S510 SL .22 and what a difference. Somehow it is more accurate but the main thing is the 10 shot magazine and the side load action. You can load with one finger as slow as you like and I have never had a double load, great for hunting. I am sure there are other great rifles out there but if you want

  21. Hello all, I am presently shooting rabbits on my local golfcourse with my excellent Air Arms S510 SL .22 air rifle with a Hawke 3-12x50 IR. Its a great piece of kit and very accurate up to 30 yards for humane killing i.e. headshots. I would like to get myself a rimfire after I obtain a F.A.C. and would appreciate some advice on going down the route by joining a club . Thanks, falconbob2004
