  1. I too am playing the waiting game - got deposits on a brand new CZ 22lr and used Miroku shotgun. Had my visit 2 weeks ago but the local force has a back log of certs to issue so it could still be a couple more weeks (it could however be today!) Are you saying you've sent it off already with that section not filled in? - they may just send it back and get you to complete it. If you have sent land letters with the application then they might take the info from them. Ring your firearms department and ask if it's being processed or being returned?
  2. I've got a deposit down on a Miroku MK70 30" game in 12G - had my police visit two weeks ago today and my tickets haven't arrived yet, could be any day now - fingers well and truly crossed!
  3. Cheers fellas - I knew it couldn't too complicated! I'll have a chat with the shop I'm getting the gun from and go from there. Thanks, Dan
  4. Sorry to sound really (really) thick but apart from the (eg) 10 x magnification bit, can anyone please explain the numbers for different scopes? I have just ordered a CZ style (16") in 22lr and will be mostly shooting rabbits day and night (with lamp) out to about 100 yards or so. Can any anyone suggest a decent set of numbers for good scope for this please? I know everyone will say "spend as much as you can" but I'm going to need to keep it under £100 - any suggestions? Thanks for any help, Dan
  5. Mr Bone - I would be up for a haggle with you but I reckon our distance apart would make it an issue! Thanks anyway!
  6. No no - it's without scope and moderator. Still think i'll end up going for it, just want to have a check around my other local RFD's in case there's a better deal to be had - just hope my tickets don't take too long, I'm itchin!!
  7. FEO has been and gone - didn't really seem that interested and just said that the tickets will be in the post after one of my bits of land has been looked into, couple of weeks with a bit of luck!! Very supprised by how little info the she wanted from me...
  8. It is indeed a brand spanker and I was amazed at how short it felt without a mod on it so I guess it must be the 16 incher - sounds like a winner to me! I'll wait to see what plod says in about an hours time and I may well get them to put it back for me. Cheers for the advice
  9. Hi all, Got my FEO coming over at 4:30 today to inspectigate me for my coterminous tickets - only put in for 22lr + Mod so fingers crossed! I've got my eye (and very nearly a deposit!) on a Miroku MK70 for the shotty but my rifle knowledge is minimal - I've seen a CZ style and love the light weight, short length and ruggedness of the stock (no wood to scuff in the dark!) - looks alright too. I also have read many posts on here saying that it's a good little all round rabbit tool so I reckon it suits me fine. Question is; what's a good price to pay for one? The one I've seen in a lo
  10. Coterminous is when you start an FAC and a SGC at the same time and pay a reduced rate as the FEO only need make one visit - £60 instead of 2 x £50. Mine went in the post on Saturday - can't wait!
  11. Thanks bud - something worth bringing up with the FEO when they visit then, hope mines a good one! Do then tend to hand out their mobile numbers then?
  12. I've just sent off my co-terminous application and have given two farms for my firearms (22lr for vermin). When those farms have been checked and approved, will they be written on my ticket as the 2 places I can shoot? And if so, can I shoot as a guest with friends who have permissions else where? Also, is it easy enough to add new land to my ticket (if that's what happens) as and when it becomes available or is it the same as putting in a variation for a different calibre (ie forms, a fee and a few weeks wait)? Hope that makes sense - thanks for any help! Dan
  13. Both my ref's are rifle shooters and I will be shooting with them and others anyway so I figure I'll be fine. Plus I've shot on and off most of my life and when I was yonger I had a lot of Firearm training in the army cadets - I think my case is fairly strong Just wanted to make sure my ticket wasn't going to end up with any silly restrictions so I couldn't shoot alone. Cheers for the help
  14. I'm just about to send off my complete, coterminous application and one of my ref's said that the FEO will insist that I go shooting with an assigned coach for my first few trips. Anyone know anything about this? (I've not read it anywhere) I'm in Cornwall - thanks
