[/img]just got in very cold and wet but manage first fox with new gun so pleased she was out about 70 yards spotted her and shot her without the lamp she stood out big time againtst the snow

hi all does anyone no of any good books on foxes hunting and lamping?????

there good but if your shooting rabbits past 100 yards all i tend to see is glowing eyes and a rough body shape. take the red of and you can see a million times better the lamp i use is a 170 gun mounted striker its nice but am planning to get a 223 next month and i will be shooting a longer distance and think i will struggle a bit??

morning lads just wanted to no if you all use filters on your lamps when shooting you rifles a good distance. it does shorten the beem a lot when using reds????

stand on each wing bird back down. pull legs up towards your chest all the shit is pulled of the bird and the breasts are laying there still attached to wings just cut them of and job done takes 1 min. look on youtube on skinning pheasant

went out sat just setting up new scope and out last night no foxes just 2 rabbits. the trip was short due to another crap swith on the light force lamps there the nrw scope fitted ones thats two sent back to deben now not happy.....all the best with tonight mate let me no how you get on

this is grate most of you sound like anti's cant belive it im within the law to shoot fox's with the 17hmr on all my 8'000 acres of land the fox in the pic did not get away hurt or bleeding. i sat there for 5 hour's in the same spot waiting for him to come along his run it was a safe 50 yard shot i was on target after zeroing in that day yes might not be a rifle perfect for a fox at 300 hundred yards shooting out your car window but if i no he will come in to a safe distance theres not an issue. thanks for the odd good coment

is the fox in the pic starving.. did it get away... did it die slow... is it bleeding to death.. no so what the fek u on about... it was a close cleen kill no pain and suffering for the animal l shot 1 dead fox. cause im not trying to hit them at 300 yards

rabbit gun my ars.. its classed as a vermin/fox gun my feo told me and its on my licence.. yes it needs to be close up to 70 yards or so..iv taken all big stuff head shots nothings got away yet.
