because 99.9 prcent of people running round at night shooting dont have a clue whats behind the annimal there shooting at;and shooting down the beam of light dosent give you a wide enough field of vision to make it safe.i bet your one of the safe ones though.

i think mcphees bitch ruby came to a lad in cumbria and he got it lined with asd,s bulpa,but this would be a few years ago now, i went yp to t mcphees once never been as cold or seen snow land as fast up there.

a good dog is a dog that will do what you want it to do each time you use it; so if your bolting foxes to guns,is that a worker?but if it wont bolt it stays till dug?surely a working terrier. it all depends what you want your terrier to do someone going ratting will want one that works well on rats;for rabbiting one that works rabbits for foxs one thats cappable of bolting or killing a fox,for digging a steady bayer that stays till its dug to,and if you get one that do/s all these things you have a world beater.

problems with terriers can only be two things, the breeding or the owner,there is no excuses,

when a fox goes to ground in a crag or quarry or under boulders on fells you just cant dig these places,so your dog needs to kill the fox and come out, i wouldentsay because it didnt stay it jacked, id say it done a good job. Never presume the fox is dead untill you actually see it there infront of you. And a good working terrier is worth a hell of a lot more then a dead fox so i'd be carefull entering a dog in quarrys and levels. I work big rock piles and dont really like entering the dog in them but beggers cant be choosers. well iagree with what your saying, but these crags rock

funny aint it,all experts as they go out maybe once a week,wonder if thats on ground they have permission on,doubtfull.and what makes me laugh more is that they are mere boys!! all on permision and long time since i was a boy,do you do much.

i see what your saying, but where i live alot of the places where foxs get in are crags that you just cant dig so a terrier that stays would have a long stay as digging is impossible,diferent dogs for diferent jobs.
