  6. i was in the shed today and came across a sack of old decoys, some full bodied, some plastic shells and some old fibreglass shells, also some crows and ducks i think. dont expect new cos there not. but they do work as i have used them a lot in the past and the best bit is they are free to the first one who pms me. i wont post these so pick up only. i may find other stuff laid around soon.
  7. Yes the mag, im at that stage now!! My legs are getting bruised! Same here the accuaracy is spot on, and i have a good silencer. Did think about taking the mag apart, but i wont bother now. Im using Elly Subs, did use winchester for a while but i couldnt get on with them. Common problem then. I've had the rifle for 6 years, and changed 2 mags for this problem. if you look up ruger 10/22 on you tube there is a few blokes on there do the strip down for the mags and a rifle clean,if you take the mag apart one less turn on the spring when putting it back together sometimes works,ha

  13. last month while out shooting we got a visit in the middle of nowhere at 2.30 in the morning by the local force, after checking us out and our certificates, vehicle etc they then thought it was a good idea to call the land owner,i asked if they would leave it until a little later in the morning and they refused. that call was to a very unhappy farmer and cost me two bottles of whisky the next day. the farmer owns houses in the area and has since told every one of them that he has pest control out and NOT to go calling the police. no more trouble since.................... as for the woo
  14. update....... had a word via phone with the dealer i used for a long time and he gave me the number of a friend of his who exports. meeting him friday and will take 150 a week from us. can even drop off 24 hrs so thats a bonus and its near where we shoot. .....................................RESULT..................................... ..................

  16. no.......alan at rushyford game is a great bloke but has taken a job in leeds and closed the game dealers down, shame cos it was very handy for us and we had a key to the chillers. now go elsewhere but not a good price at 50p each. have put the word out today so will see what happens. How about this one? A bit further away but.. http://www.yorkshiregame.co.uk/contact.asp we use this one from time to time BUT have just talked to a bloke who wants some dropped off to see how they sell, you never know all might be ok.
  17. im in an old village and the old folk love the rabbits, takes me longer to dress them than to shoot them, but all are grateful. noticed that some younger ones are getting a few now and again. nice to see the old folk smile though.

  19. its not the money that bothers me......(although its a big help),its the shooting and leaving them. will ring around and let you know what happens over the next few days.
  20. there is a lot around here that we bring them back for,ie dog food and the old folk etc,but they dont want them every day. i suppose we can just keep doing what we are for now until a better thing turns up.
  21. others so far would be at least a 60 mile round trip.
  22. i shoot 2 or 3 times a week and have until lately been taking all my rabbits etc to the local game dealer, now hes shut down i find myself having to go to another dealer who gives very little for them. now i dont shoot for profit but now we are getting what works out less than 50p for clean shot rabbits. after diesel for the nights shooting and another 50 mile round trip the next morning to drop them off this is not even break even. at the minute all the farms i shoot on are complaining about the rabbits, but if i stop shooting them i will lose the pigeon shooting and stalking i have. any id
