  1. i was out wi the dog yesterday night and after the accident she had lamping two weeks ago looks like shes pulling through fine. Anyway i was approched by a women with a lurcher in hand she went on to explain her and her boyfriend had split "thought she was making a move lol" we had a chat about the dogs didnt let on my bitch was a worker. She then went on to say she couldnt keep the dog as they where moving into seperate houses rented an she couldnt take him with her. She wants the dog to go to a good home, whats the chances it would make a worker its a year old an looks a cracking dog. Wo

  8. well mate she said to me it could of spread to the bone ect ect id need to see a specialist ect ect. FU*k knows mate but its really pis*sed me off. If they care that much how the hell do the mistake the dosage.
  9. because she said one tab once a day which she also stuck on the front of the box. Then i looked back in the box an realised there was an extra 5 tablets. Alarm bells started ringing so i called the vets up an the silly cow just said sorry my mistake it was ment to be 2 tabs a day not one!!!!! so, hang on, what you're saying is, if i understand the above-quoted statements correctly, when you called the vet she said "sorry, the dog should be having 2 tablets a day", you had enough to give her 2 per day, but you're only giving her 1 tablet per day, and complaining about wrong dosages?
  10. no i took her to the vets she went on her computer she stuck the bit of papper on front of the box saying one tablet per day for five days then go back after 5 days to see how shes doing. I noticed there was another packet of tablets in the box ten tablets all together but she told me and wrote on the box 1 tablet a day for 5 days. So i called up spoke to the receptionist she told me to go off what it says on the sticker on the box. I wasnt satisfied so spoke to the vet she said she was sorry as she had made a mistake it should of said two tablets per day not one
  11. keep it clean mate. My dog cut his leg tue night that didnt look bad but her hocks swelled up like a fu*ker had her to the vets that was a night mare too. Read the post FU*KING VETS lol. A lot of people are like get to the vets get to the vets, but after the time i had with a so called VET i will never go again. Next time i will be off to someone who knows what there talking about eg greyhound vet.

How long was yours till they were up an going. What sort of exersise would ya recomend now i thought short ten minute walks, would that be about right??? atb mate
  14. i use metacam and swear by it ...good stuff used correctly ..i dont understand how you say it can slow healing ...i know you know you stuff sandy but i dissagree with you on the metacam.,..the first thing i would have done if this had happened to my dog would be get it home and clean it well .and the give some metacam...to take the swelling down and ease the pain...blood flows better when swelling is down ..which of course increases the speed of the healing..as the blood flows more freely...iam off coarse giving addvice without seeing the cut ...but thats what i would do if it was just a cut
  15. sure ya can get it real cheap on Ebay buddy
  16. sorry to hear that mate. Good look wi ya pup anyway. You ever had the type of prob i"ve had wi mine "swollen hock" The vet to be fair didnt shed any light at all she just said it could spred to the bone, i sh*t my self when she said this. Them lures you"ve got there are cracking mate fair play to ya
  17. cheers mate soon as i got home started cleaning it wi salt water. But just swelled up an she cant run on it its been nearly a week since it happened an no change now. Propper gutted as i"m sat in the living room an its blowing a gale (gagging to get out)
  18. yer thats what i maybe thought would you maybe push for next stage of treatment free of charge or what
  19. yer i mean i cant belive she got the dosage wrong she told me 250g and ment 500g she also put 250g on the packet. this is a high profile job if you went to the docs for tablets for a young child and they fu*ked that up it would be a court matter i would of thought. I arent the type to complain too much about these things but i am really pis*ed off what would you do guys would ya take the matter further or just let it go???
