  2. A deerhound greyhound will excell accross rocks and rough ground and they ar a good dog on fox once entered correctly.I know a lad in westmeath with top class working deerhounds he has a litter of half cross for sale at the moment. if you want il pm you on his number and he will look after you with smashing pup.
  3. they arnt the easiest breed to train Chalk it down bull101. They arnt the easy to get going. Another ideal cross would be a first cross collie hound . would they be any good on foxes though One of the best dogs i saw take foxes was a first cross collie hound . He had a knack in catching them but he was a big dog and had the power to kill within a few shakes. You could be better off buying a pup . The wheaten cross i was talking about ar in the uk they will be a handfull. You have a massive choice It just depends on what you want out of the dog Just to take foxes?
  4. thats a nice pup too n a real temptin price.. get on the fone before its snapped up if its not already gone.. Let me know how u go.. if not i know a lad who has really well bred pups thats ready in 4 weeks n these wont be advertised, im gettin 1 myself.. i was just talking to him.he said the mothers great on foxes and that the father which he doesnt own is a full bred hound and was only used for racing.someone said that their hard to train what do you think I wouldnt be too mad on the breeding of grey as sire myself also that lad sexton from clare has a few dogs for sale aswell.

  9. Its grand to advise you on a bullx for foxes but i wouldnt personaly if you where a first time lurcher owner as they can be a handfull it depends on the cross tho . wouldnt advise a half cross. Id go for a first cross deerhound greyhound .They should take fox with ease and do very well on rabbit and hare. Have a look at chris hicklings wheaten hound pups think there 5/8hound 3/8 wheaten . theres 2 bitchs left but there very well bred If they turn out anything like the sire or dam they will be very handy pups.
  10. ye thats the one terrier man was it your own lurcher ye had out tonight ,ye have to send me on a few recent pics of him last i saw he was turnin into a right beauty. My own pup has a long long way to go it was only his 3rd night out i gave him 3 slips ,he chased the rabbits but that was all he did .He is still just a big awkward pup .Hes still scared of cattle which is something we seriously need to work on Had him out monday night but he spent the majority of the night in the van as we had two of my mates dogs out that he wanted to see whats what.He did well for his first night ever on
