  1. Glad you like it Liam I think the rifle looks the dogs bollox now and all you need is the minerals to get the scissors out
  2. My friend gave me a Realtree gun sock yesterday as it did not fit his rifle. It was for a shot gun, so I tried to fit it on my Ratty and it would not have it. So I got the scissors out and went to town on it giving my King Ratcatcher a whole new look Waste not wnat not is the motto here
  3. Stop jibber jabbering about it and post links so we can all see!!!
  4. Looks a nice fat pigeon you've shot there nice to see a good clean head shot too
  5. Got any links for this Brut33 for rabbits I've not heard of it Myself I just don't bother with high smelling deoderants and I keep my camo gear in the shed all year round to keep that outdoor smell. I've heard of de-scenting sprays (which the criminal kind have been known to use to evade police dogs) but never this stuff...
  6. Squirrel pasties taste wonderful mate
  7. Don't give up with your King ratcatcher Sam they are a good rifle for the price and I've had some good result with mine
  8. Definately a fox cats have a green reflection from their eyes...
  9. It's the King Ratcatcher you really want not the ordinary one as the ordinary one puts out just about 6ft/lb these days, the older ones used to put out 9ft/lb. The king Ratcatcher puts out just over 10ft/lb and is a very capable hunter on rats and ferrals etc. With rabbits you should stick with 20-25 yards and no more with head shots only. I find my King Ratcatcher very useful in barns and sheds with ferrals etc to minimise any possible damage to the farmers property.. Have a look here at my mini review of the King Ratcatcher
  10. Great guy to do business with and very honest too. Thanks for making my stepson very happy with his new RWS 225..

    Regards Lee...

  11. what about pointed pellets? any beginner (like me) would asume amiediatly that pointys give better penatration Penetration is useful but you lack accuracy with these which is even more important. In addition, it is also about imparting all the energy into the quarry (as someone else has said) rats, small birds, whatever...if you go right through you waste energy!! To keep it simple, domed will be the answer! what about long range (30 yrds) rabbit and pigeon shooting (let me geuss, domed?) oh and thanks for all the tips p.s wich is better 22. or 177., ive got a 2
  12. Very nice choice in rifle camokid, I tried out the Daystate Airwolf and the only thing that I did not get on with was the fore end of the stock for some reason. This was due to it being a little to squared off, now this is my personal preference and others may like it, but as guns stand I'm a Theoben whore through and through
  13. Bunny burgers sound really nice!!! Down here in Devon we have a local butcher that makes rabbit pies and squirrel pasties, I've got to say that squirrel pasty is my new favourite snack Nice shooting Scotlandforever
  14. I shot one today very clean in the neck near the head and it dropped like a stone and rolled down my roof just nice But as the lads say under the wing if the head does not present you with a shot or as I do in the neck as close to the head as possible. There's no exact science in that practice but it's never failed me and as you all know they are tough little f****r's at the best of times
  15. I've been saving for a while now but what with the heating/food/petrol prices rising I've had to postpone the purchase of it. If you persivere and just keep your eye's on your goal (in my case the S-Type) then you'll eventually get there. I will not give in until I've got all the money to buy it. If you reallly wnat something bad enough you'll get it no matter what
  16. I've owned the MK I 12/200 .20 cal before until a house buglary, so now I'm in the market again I wanna go the whole hog with the particle filter/more shots and Harris bipod all included So the S-Type with all it has just caught my eye and I can see myself using it and being a very happy man. I will feel sorry for the quarry when I've got that, NOT!!!
  17. Well I'm getting the S-type very soon so I suppose that answers the question in this thread
  18. LMFAO!!!! I did the same thing about 3-4 of weeks back and then all of a sudden they started to reappear in the trees and on the chimney pots again, So me and my King Ratty have been at the b*****d's again Be patient mate because they'll be back again and a little wiser too. I'm now decoying them and it seems to be working a treat
  19. what about pointed pellets? any beginner (like me) would asume amiediatly that pointys give better penatration Penetration is all very well but with pointed pellets the tend not to be very accurate. I would suggest a good domed pellet for all purposes. Webley Accupell are about the best out there but it's all down to personal choice/budget & how your gun likes to shoot with them. Hope this was helpful to you and not just one of these one liner post whore posts, with fleeting comments that some members are accustomed to making here These one liners are about as much use as an ashtr
  20. I do use it from time to time and also use Crosman CO2 capsules as these have their own lube inside them keeping the seals healthy
