heres a pic of our new charge.its going to be a happy summer, the 2 year old saluki 1st cross took his first fox today,he took a little love bite for his trouble but that made him even more pissed off and returned said same to charlie,so from here on in the season is over till next september but in between no doubt a rabbit or two will fall victim to the pack. This pup is a lurcher to lurcher bred animal and has come from very decent parents.I enjoy bringing a pup on every few years and this will keep me focused for the rest of the summer. he was a bit shy but is coming round now mo

thanks gnasher, his well being is the top of our agenda at home and the whole family are dog nuts. When I get a working dog of any shape or form the whole gang take some part in rearing feeding cleaning and exercising.Thats why I have to get in the best quality animals I can, cause when theyre in and they make the grade they are not shifting usually.I had a bad run these last two seasons with dogs not coming up to standard,it hit everyone in some way,but they all understand the aims of having them.Whats there now are the good and the young.Oul neiko is a happy chappy for sure, lol

LOL,big dog i was looking at the trees that have naturally fallen about there and was wondering if it was ok to take a few cuts. They'll be left to rot other than that.Frank...............ITS BED TIME.

-
thanks all, frank you may just have sorted a dilema Ive had with nameing the lurcher pup I got yesterday.Im listening to all these stupid names from the family but SNIPER sounds damn fine, lol.HBH you would want to be a brave person to jump in with this dog barking at you,hes never been tested yet and he is only a puppy.I reckon he'll only get better with time.Patterdale666 while hes on their throat or arm I'll be kicking any other part thats available to me.Should make a good tag team, lol.
-
FFs,thats origional at least donny, lol.I might use that some time if I get a good looking lady down there........................SOME HOPE
-
heres another trick he has,he waits like a sniper till the time is right......then he strikes with allmighty force.......throat hold........and suffers because of it cause that little bitch doesnt take shite from anyone geting in position again, lol
-
its a few steps above house hight and thats too high for me this should be a good test for the wildlife photographers, might be the first of itsss kind,I could start selling tickets for the privilege of studying it

That it aint LD,no man could get material up there, besides no one travels there at best. Its down on a fishing lease and I think ive met 4 people in a few years there.I park in a dead end lane and let the dogs out,no leads etc.The tree is to weak on top to hold anything heavy anyhow.Im perplexed as to what it could be.Maybe a natural formation or a big bleedin bird, lol.
-
well the wife would like me to have one anyway frank, lol.Long dogs hes a very good guard,I think even though hes young he would make you pay for the mistake of coming into the kennells uninvited. The one thing about him is he sleeps anywhere he fancies.I went to get logs the other night and he was curled up against the kennell front asleep in the rain.I have a fine box for him but he sometimes sleeps in the strangest places. This can make him smell a wee bit at times which is not pleasant.
-
what exactly this is,is it a natural occurence or is it made by some big flying reptile.I was wondering if it was an old heron nest, maybe bits added on to it over the years but its ferkin huge. its a ferkin long way up and looks like a round platform, nest?
-
some look to still be carrying young............or maybe their just eating well.
-
IM ON THE WAY YEEEEHARW a small herd of smellys. They are a much smoother version to the ones I hunt, rather well to do kind of goats compared to the ones we have, lol
-
as you can see hes best friends with the terriers. he has some size of a tongue though, lol.
-
heres a few shots of the shepherd I got a few months ago. After some vigirous eating and manic exercising hes looking strong dont you think.Hes become a very eefficient alarm system now.He never barks unless he has reason to.What you think of him, lol.
-
heres a better one of him, beddy p the black bitch is full saluki.

FFs I drove for 22 hrs over to wales and back to get the kelpie x.the car broke down while over there, the whole journey cost almost 1k,If you want it you'll get it simple as.
-
before we go any further I did NOT bring you down,I didnt nor had any intention of nameing you.You did that all by yourself. You put a strain between me and my good friends today,I dont appreciate that one bit.Now this discussion is over.

well Lat,if he ever wants anything similar to these pups it'll be a hell of a lot more. What a missed oppertunity. When I think of it,delivered and jabbed for 150,and its a 3 hour journey to the blokes area.what a cock.
-
not deerhound bred.If this tool wants to reply and admit he furked about then i'll leave it up to him.Can you imagine for 150 you get a top class pup.I booked mine 4 weeks before they were born and am geting it tommorow.Still look forward to the addition of a new pup to the kennells.
-
I went out of my way to vouch for a bloke on here to friends of mine.Theres a litter ready to go and a few weeks previous I told the lad that had them that this mope is spot on.No money has been spared on these pups, and theres 8 of them there so fair play to the breeder he is doing it right. But today he rang the breeder and cancelled the pup cause for the huge sum of 150 euros he wanted the pup jabbed, and delivered to kildare. The parents of these pups are very effiecient at what they do and in my opinion the price could be a hell of a lot more.So my mate rings me and is far from happy that he

hyper active collie kelpie cross
jigsaw replied to JohnGalway's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
I have a kelpie x and ive tried and failed to tire her, only being exhausted myself in the end.The breed are a dynamo of energy and even after 6 hours mountain walking the bitch is still jumping about the place. You just got to learn to live with it I reckon.
