I know exactly what you all mean, but I think it all comes down to personality (or rather how your personality gels with the temperament of the dog). My first three lurchers had varying amounts of beardie in them and I personally found the more border they had, the more sensitive they became.

Right from the off I couldn’t bond with mine, she would blatantly ignore me, when I had her second jab I even had the vet test her hearing as I was convinced she was deaf, he dropped his keys on the floor to which she looked off the table at then knocked on the wall, again she looked at that, like I say we are only just on the same sheet now, I have a half x border and a half x kelpie both of which take great delight in pleasing me, the beardie does it as and when I suits her,

they dont call them weirdie beardies for nothing, encountered a few in my time from hancock, would go with moon at the drop of a hat, skulky , nervous critters, some days would work quite well if they were in the right mood, next day complete opposite and run if they felt like it . certainly not my type of dog to run.

Just to name a few of the strange traits

    Hello!

I am looking for a bearded collie cross greyhound breeder, I would also be open to another cross being in the mix. Can anyone recommend a breeder please?

    Cheers

I would give anything with beardie blood in it a wide birth they are as strange as the come, stick to the border blood imo.Iv one here she’s coming up 4 years old and only now are we starting to sing off the same song sheet ?????00E4231D-2CB9-42C3-A889-CC7221A15C49.jpeg.b801f723337b5840ac26f0803e8adda9.jpeg

  7. I have my vasectomised hob in with Jill’s all year round, I just move him from cage to cage as and when he’s needed, as for the Jill’s dragging each other round it lasts almost all summer, It works for me but these are only my opinions, if your wanting one for bringing your Jill’s out of season this spring you want to be getting one done asap because once they have the snip it takes 6/8 weeks minimum for his live rounds to become blanks too.

    cheers Neil B

Cleared 21 think she be 22-23 at push. Nice size. Old fella is 27 so fancied a small dog. Only rabbits I am bothered with or the odd fat rabbit lol so no point having big lump

Perfect size for the bunnies, ?

Well she got to grab a rabbit. Heard a thump and a rustle in thick old hedge. Pup started casting about and wanted to go through the fence. Unknown to me there was bloody fox next door. I could see a one holer tucked away so had a hunch. She wanted to go after the fox so tied her up then cheeky sod walked through to our side and walked across field. She was focused on him so didn’t see the rabbit balled up in the hedge but at least she got a bit of fur in her chops so it will all come together

Actually got two out the one hole. Just netted the run as couldn’t get it over the hole. You can’t beat it

I have lurcher bitch 13 months old and since around 7 months old she started to bark at other people passing by with their dogs  but good with other dogs ive tried feeding from hand giving treats get her to sit when people passing but still no improvement the last option is training collar what would you reccomend thanks

I had a pup kept barking in the kennel at all hours, tried late exercise and late feeding but nothing seemed to work, so as a last resort I got a collar, it worked a treat only took a couple of zaps ⚡️
