    fooking campsite prices in the uk are unbelivable , we also looked in to going to cornwall, but paying for a campsite and spending £300 ON DIESEL , feck that , cheaper to go abroad on a package.

     

    mind you the strong euro is a bit of a c**t, means having more spendo

     

    Come camping in Scotland then. you can camp where you want (within reason) just bring plenty of midge patches ;)

    I only started properly when I was seven (thats 33 years now) but our granddad used to sit on his knee from when we were about four and give us drags of his cigars. I just smoke samson, drum or golden virginia now, what ever is available as its smuggled stuff, I only do two packs a week now so I cut down a lot :D I have no intentions of stopping, you'll have to kill me before I die (taken from yellow beard, before you all start)

    Gav what are you going to do if you need false teeth

     

    Oh what about having gas so your out cold

     

    I only have one tooth missing at present, I will just be gummy :blink: if I lose any more.

     

    I have enquired about gas but got told they don't do it any more, have enquired about being hypnotised too but would have to go to the mainland and pay all the costs ££££ its not cheap. :wacko:

     

    Oh well i am sure your Mrs will love you gums & all :thumbs:

     

    She says she does already so it must be something more than my looks as I am a proper ugly mug :crazy:

    There is something I never thought of, will probably just have a good clean and rinse before I do the job, good thought though :good:

    i aint been to the dentist for ten years cause i aint got one and cant get one and have fillings missing its a pain but i learn to live with it

     

    It been over 25 years for me, my teeth ain't that bad, the only reason I was pulling this is a filling fell out and want to get it out before it does go bad.

    :icon_eek::icon_eek: ..........leeches is what you need, then apply wet horse shit all over your body and make sure you eat plenty of limes so as to avoid scurvy!!

     

    Just off to try that now .. have plenty leeches and horse shit so its worth a go ... :rofl:

    was talking to one of the plasterers on the site im on at the mo.said he's not been to the dentist in yrs,,, he pulls his own and said he'd filled 3 of his with araldite! :icon_eek: he said they'd outlasted the last ones the dentist did!!

     

    I actually tried araldite but I think it maybe wont stick as its slow set stuff I have, maybe try some fast set stuff .. cheers.

     

    If I could maybe get a file in I would give it a go but I only have big files and not a big mouth (maybe not what everyone thinks though)

    Ok the dentist is not an option as I have acute trypanophobia.

     

    Pulling your own teeth isn't that bad actually, the trick is to push then pull and twist, the back ones are a bit more difficult because of their position and deep roots.

     

    I asked the wife to get some of the cement they use to stick metal hips in, but she says it gets too hot whilst its curing.

     

    I can't think of any thing else.

     

    I might give car body filler a go though, I only need a tiny bit just to make it smooth.

    I tried pulling one of my teeth out and broke the bugger, its now sharp and making my tongue sore and my cheek. I was wondering if any one knew something I could cover it with to smooth it out, I have tried epoxy resin but it falls off!

     

    I would get the pliers back on it but there is not enough left now to get a good hold, I have ordered some proper tooth pullers from surgical holdings but until that arrives, I can't keep my tongue off it and its getting really sore.

     

    I pulled one of my other teeth before without any problem (well apart from the pain and blood) but with this been a back one its a deep rooted bugger.

     

    Dentist is not an option!!! I just want to stick something on it so its smooth until I get the right tool for the job.

    How come that some people on here get away with posting pretty much anything and others posts, even purely innocent ones get removed?? Do you have to "join the boys club" to get accepted or something, and how much does it cost???

     

    I can't see there is favouritism, if people constantly post total drivel or break the rules then the posts/replies will get removed.

    for the last 10 years iv been drinkin 7 days a week every chance i got a chronic alcoholic.Iv been totally messed up the last few years so much that i nearly lost my house and missus and eventually i would have lost my son.So the only thing to do was to bite the bullet and get my ass into AA.Thank christ that was nearly 9 weeks ago and havent touched a drop since with the help of a few people at my meetings

     

    Well done and keep it up :good: it takes a strong person to admit that. Me and the wife have agreed to have a lay off after the weekend, more to save money than thinking we have a problem and it wont do any harm huh.

    fair play for holding your temper , if it was me she would find a field of dead bunnies in the morning , maybe setup in great little poses like an orgy of coney or all doing handstands with the aid of a stick lol .

     

    Thats a real beauty that, don't give me ideas I can get in enough trouble all by myself ;)

    :shok:That's a bit harsh, Gav! Indeed; If ye had the true Conviction of that stand point; Why would ye not have cried, " TOSH! " the moment Syd was certified incurable and / or Gilmour was signed up?

     

    The phenomenon popularly known as " Pink Floyd " were / are great. Surely we can all pretty much agree on that? But Most - if not just about All 'Great' bands are organic, are they not? From 'Glen Miller' to ..... well ... 'Pink Floyd'? I'm also personally Big Time into a drop of Jethro Tull and The Boss. Ian and Bruce too have changed their 'Bands' down the years. Ok, they do have the advantage of being the lynch pins, as individual performers. But what were 'Floyd to do, when Syd wouldn't stop dribbling and howling? Fold and re emerge as " Orange Leroy " ?

     

    Don't (Can't) ye just accept that Syd had genius. That like attracts like and so he got together with Roger. Then Dave was co opted in. Syd went down ~ Shame! ~ but we had Roger and Dave to keep bringing us what we Love. " See Emily Play " was breath taking. We have Syd to fondly remember for that. "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict" was absolutely out on it's own. As was so much of the Roger Waters material which followed - and largely kept us all going, for years - afterwards. Now we have stuff like " Learning To Fly ". Gilmour and Mason bringing a whole new level of " Pink Floyd " to us.

     

    Now, I see where ye coming from. And I sympathise. But; Whilst I was always a bigger Waters devotee than anything. And I even started referring to the 'Post Waters' Floyd as " The Dave Gilmour Band ". Can we Really cry " Tosh! " at what we have to this day? And all that we've been given, down the decades, by that phenomenon " Pink Floyd " ?

     

    Were they not always classified as " Progressive Rock, after all? :hmm:

     

    I think your right actually TOSH is a bit harsh, it should maybe be a bit more of a TSSSSK There is no doubt that The Pink Floyd have their own right in the music business and they are very successful, the only thing really that bugs me is they went commercial and dismiss the fact that it is mostly drug induced noise.

    Looking back over the decades of their music, the start was mesmerizing the middle mediocre and the end just commercial drivel.

     

    Like I say though we have most Floyd albums in our collection and the occasional one does get played; pigs on a wing-animals; grandchester meadows-ummagumma.

     

    To put it plainly I am a Hawkwind freak and to say they have been going about for the same time as The Pink Floyd they really don't get half as much recognition even though I personally think they are far superior.

     

    Think what you will, at the end of the day I am just an ole acid heed :crazy:
