I was fishing llandwyn island from the shore about 12 years ago,mid july.Seen a group of 4 large shark about 50 yd's out,don't know what they were but have been told by some of the local lad's that they were probably porbeagle.Used to be a fair number of tope landed by beach anglers around the island,mostly caught either end of the menai.

Always done it meself,have squeaked foxes in so close i could of hit them over the nut with the rifle instead of shooting them with it.Might of just been lucky,but it's happened a few times over the years.Urban foxes tend to be a bit more suspicious though.

Mole,you should fish for the crayfish,river near me is teeming with em.I made a funnel trap from chicken mesh,dropped a rabbit carcass in and hey presto next day 74 crayfish.Purged them in an old water tank for a couple of day's and stuck the f****rs on the bbq,f*****g luvly mate,as good as any lobster i've ate.Cheaper than lobster as well lol.

If your shooting rats indoor's or at close range around building's,i wouldn't bother with a full power gun.I have an old gamo .22 with open sight's that's putting out about 6-7 ftlb on the chrono,doe's the job a treat,and lower's the chance's of a bad ricochet with the low power output.

My Patt,is 15" at the shoulder,18" around the chest,and weigh's 21lb.Not ready for going solo yet,but he's been to ground a couple of time's,and the entrance to the earth's wasn't what you'd call big.

The s200 is a crackin gun,keep looking in the classifieds on the airgun bbs.You could pick up a second hand s200 with a scope for just over £200.I was brought up shooting springer's,but modern pcp's are so easy to shoot and maintain,i wouldn't bother with a springer,although i do have an old gamo .22 that i use for ratting indoors.

Jason,thats the fella,had a good chat with him,said he used to keep terrier's, but was into flying bird's now.Enjoyed the chat with him,nice fella.Can't remember the name of the place we got the worm from,i met a lad at cold knapp one night,who lived in Tonyrefail,he said he drove to newport to get his bait,cos he knew it would always be good.Thats why we got it there,think he used to advertise in sea angler as well.

Vincy,i was in Pontypool a couple of week's ago.I went with a mate to collect a couple of pointer pups,if i'd have known that was your neck of the woods i'd have brought the rod's with me,lol.Last time i fished Redwick i had no prob's with idiot's,but my mate had his car trashed one time when we were fishing Cardiff foreshore.Id love to catch the f***ers in the act,i'd bury them in the mud at low tide. :censored:Where are you lad's getting your worm from,the last time i was down that way,we bought black's from a place in Newport,it was crackin bait as well.

Depend's which category they fall into,if it's the dog abusing type's (fat, middle aged,leave the dog on it's own all day while at work,then feed it full of chocolate when they get home) i don't even answer them.If it's the ignorant and uneducated type,i try and be patient and explain the benefit's of what i'm doing.Now,if it's them scruffy dreadlocked f***er's who hurl abuse at you when your foot following the hunt,then do what me and my mate did,follow the f**ker's back to there car and then follow there car for a few mile's.Thay get faster and faster,lol.F***ing idiot's.

We sure do,i use jsb exacts 7.52 in my harrier,very acurate and consistent on the chrono.I use the jsb for most of my shooting, fur and feather,however if it's rabbit's at close range or long range ratting,i'll switch to the bisley mag's for a bit more oomph.My son also doe's a bit of target shooting with jsb's.

Must admit i have a bit of a soft spot for hugh fw,(must be the curly hair)only joking.The man talk's sense.not s**t. I remember when he did the "tv dinner's" serie's,i thought it was better than river cottage.Doe's anyone have a spare copy of "tv dinner's" or the first "river cottage",on video or dvd? Would love to see them again,and i'd be willing to pay.

I use Milbemax on my dog's,vet only job, but all they did was weigh the pup at the reception desk and voila.Now i just turn up tell them the dog's weight and they ask me how many i want.The tablet's cost 98p a piece,and its one tab for every 10kg of body weight.

I have a 6 year old lurcher bitch,and a 12 month old patt dog.They are both very good natured with people and the bitch is fine with other dogs.The patt is an absolute nightmare though where other dog's are concerned.It started when he was about 8 months old,and has got worse.I took him out ratting with a mate's terrier's,and ended up having to prise the little fecker off my mate's best terrier!Another time we took him to watch some other dog's working,and he spent the whole time spinning round the spike and barking like f**k.Whether or not he make's the grade,only time will tell?
