  1. probably a little old fashioned, i believe it should be a token/ gesture and that to me means it don't need to cost the earth.
  2. tis very confusing, but as you can guess from reading through this i am not happy about the cost of it so far let alone any more being added to it. I suppose it does not help the matter at all that i don't like jewelery at all, don't wear any chains only have two rings...one from me kids that says dad and another i was given about 24 year ago, don't even wear a watch for christs sake...
  3. thank you....still wants hols & nights out as well.....well if she sees this its finished anyway wonder what the chances are of getting my money back that i already saved
  4. i get the "ain't i worth it" phrase.....been together 10 years...live seperately, and i stay over hers mainly which is a pain in the arse with all me animals and whatever. I look at it the same way mate...Mmmm new gun? another landie? or whatever...maybe its a bloke thing
  5. i got called tight for suggesting argos, i still think £1200 is a lot...maybe i am tight then. Secondhand is out the question..antique or not
  6. i was thinking more like the smash & grab claw 20p on southend seafront on a more serious note i reckon it gonna be a case of bettering a friends which i believe was around £2000 - £2500
  7. i already know the answer i think.....up to £1200 already, give and take a few quid i think. I think that is more than enough, but i reckon its gonna near on double....and me aint very happy
  8. feck me, that could be costly to some

  10. we usually go on the sun hols, always weymouth for me for a weeks fishing, shoppings not bad for the gals. Loads of places along the coast to visit...durdle door, chesil beach, charmouth and more...go looking for fossils if you like or pop into river cottage to see hfw lots of places of interest and fantastic scenery. Also the lizard at cornwall very nice area to visit.
  11. interested in the lamps if you can let us have their details....
  12. will have to wait & see what happens in the new year if this recession is as bad as they say it's gonna be. If so then i think maybe you are gonna see a lot of birds & dogs going dirt cheap, given away or even let loose if times get that hard for families struggling ....
  13. i heard of one going for £40 the other day, female as well....scary stuff
  14. Well it's taken a while but she had her first rabbit today. Got out just after 1pm with one of the ferts and i didn't think it was gonna happen as i had my first dig of the year typical ain't it, around 2pm theres me digging and thinking i ain't gonna have enough light left as the next stop was some woods. Entered the wood and straight away sawa a rabbit bolt into a hole, great just a small 4 holer. Bird on the fist and fert down the whole and after a couple of minutes...bang out it flew and so did she straight on it. Well pleased....fed her up on it, then called it a day
  15. Well decided to build something again out of all the left over scraps i had from the original mews i built last summer, a touch on the small side i would have liked it a little wider but i'm sure i will find a use for it. Just need to straghten up the bars, door to go on and the end of the roof. Once January is here i will be concentrating on the large open enclose to go on the end of the one i built a few months back which will take it to around twenty feet wide Happy Christmas all....
  16. within reason......any bird that gets her tits out and says lick em and theres more....

  20. so many to list... The Robin and it's sweet song.. A Stoat a leaping & a bounding The knock of a woodpecker, high in a tree A glimpse of a Kingfisher diving in and out the water The graceful hover of a Kestrel on a motorway verge A chubb in the net and on the bank And the sight of deer on a cold misty morning...
  21. this is quite a grey area in my opinion, if you can't carry a 3" knife or over for a specific legit reason like the above or like previously mentioned then how the hell can you legally buy one over a counter only to be nicked outside the shop door...crikey, go into tj hughes buy a set of carving knives, go about the rest of your shopping and then get nicked for carrying a fixed blade over 3"...fecking joke
  22. any specific markings on the locator, tape or paint or the nets like colours or pegs...worth checking fleabay out over the next few days.....fecking scumbags
  23. Look on every beach or pier and you will see filleting knives all over the place, just measured mine, 6 inch blade which is about the norm. Its always in my bag when out with the ferts or gun or fishing, otherwise its in the house and never left in the motor. Great for nicking through the fur & skin and because the blade is so long and slim you can run it straight through from bottom end right up and out through the rib cage by the heart in one passing, thats how sharp they are. Also no need for fingers to get in the way either. As stated earlier, you only need to do this to empty the stom
