    Was up on some high ground today on a grouse moor to walk some rushes up with the terriers,the weather was awful heavy rain and wind yet there was still a fair few rabbits sitting in the rushes,it's quick shooting up there you only get a quick glimpse of the rabbits between clumps of rushes,we managed ten in a couple of hours with a couple taking out the wall Couple of pics Two taken out the wall,a left and right

    Up at woodgas for a refresher course on the art of snaring? The weather was crap rained all night we manged 35 first night so not bad Few pics a few more following shortly

    Went out for couple of hours last night with lamp conditions was not ideal bright moon and calm but managed 19 so not to bad.

    Hi folks never been on this page before,having a look through now it's good to see all the setups and birds some of you guys have.....was just wondering what's the law regarding goldfinches and bullfinchs are you allowed to keep them or is it hush hush so to speak my dads got a aviary and said he wouldn't mind a couple thanks folks

    This particular section is overlooked by a cottage. At a fair distance but I thought drab tunnels would be more discreet. Besides, although I have managed to snare a few foxes I have never managed to snare a rabbit. Despite watching Glenn Waters' DVD and getting snares from Trapworks. the snares will be less visable then a tunnel.keep practicing with the rabbit snares you will get there in the end,if you can snare foxes you aint doing to bad

    Well it's not long now to the season starts the farmers round me are cutting the final crops,so spent Monday spinning a few snares up ready.soon as last fields done ill be setting the snares for rabbit and hares. A master spinner at work ?don't half play havoc with your finger tips?

    For a start I don't snare for thrills yes I get enjoyment out of setting snares and catching rabbits or hares its pest control. A bit of land I go on as a fair few nbers of hares the farmers wants them reducing NOT wiping out. I'm not rubbing it in anyone's face either I know some folks land does not have many hares on I'm just fortunate that mine does and the fact I like snaring so ill combine the two if you get my jist,all the hares I catch are used NOT chucked in a hedge bottom to rot.     When the fields have been cut/end of August time I start of with a few easy sessions couple of hours here and there then do more when cover dies back abit. Start snaring a few rabbits back end of August as well as a few hares not long now?
