  1. try your local gun shop , might only be couple of quid for a fill.
  2. Have a look at www.animatedknots.com . You might find something useful John
  3. Rapid Mk1 with shrouded barrel and silencer, stood near a chap shooting one of these this weekend and did not hear it go off !!!! John
  4. Got a Rohm Action .177 , C02 , pretty accurate but not very powerful (around 2-3 ft / lb ) Think the Sheridan is probably the most powerful around (4-5 ft /lb) but single shot. John
  5. If you are not very accurate at judging distance the 177 is a little more forgiving. John
  6. Sean, has the 510 got a shrouded barrel ? if so, how does it compare to the weihrauch silencer ? Thanks for the review, at least you know you can get an honest opinion from here instead of all the b*llsh*t from the magazines. John
  7. You will be much better off with a Harris, I have never heard of anyone catching anything with a kestrel, you are only talking 5 to 7 ounces to get right . Half an ounce wrong and you could end up with a dead falcon. Bullets right, you have a bigger margin for error on a Harris , and can have a lot more fun. John
  8. Only difference between a Parson Jack Russell and a Jack Russell is about £300.00. Its all a load of KC b*ll*cks. John
  9. Agree with Sean , Air Arms diablo field. My AAS410 did not like Crossman Accupells , threw them all over .......... John
  10. try a fly called a pink clouser................check www.ukswff.co.uk site for details. Good for bass as well. John
  11. I seem to remember that the bitch will come back in heat after the jab. Worth checking with the vet ...... John
  12. Air arms are good but Weihrauch is better .................
  13. Found it difficult shooting a full length AA410 from car window , carbine was much easier....... John
  14. possibility of demodectic or sarcoptic mange. a visit to the vets will rule it out ..... John
  15. Brilliant photos, be interested to know what camera was used ? John
  16. Good advice from all the above. PCP is more user friendly , and you will need a bottle or pump.... If you have to go the springer route why not try second hand ? Good bargains to be had at www.airgunbbs.com John
  17. I am fairly certain that the answer is yes, it is illegal. I believe the police can check it with any pellet they wish and if it is over 12ft lb it is illegal. They would probably check it with the pellets you had on you but there is no guarantee. To be safe you should always check with a chrono if you change pellets..... John
  18. God advice from jamie g , don`t put any other gas in............could cost you your life. Would cost around £130.00 for a bottle which you could get filled for approx £3.00. This would give you about 15 - 20 fills. Choice is yours John

    pistols

Just my opinion but wouldn`t recommend it. Legal limit for a pistol is 6 ft / lb and a lot of them are a lot less than that (2-3 ft/lb ). Consistent accuracy is only good to about 10 yds , even with a red dot . John
  20. I have seen and heard of male HH being used successfully for pest control around shopping centres (early morning or dusk) and buildings with pigeon problems. I would think one of the problems would be insurance and damage liability but if your mate already has a pest control business he might already have that covered. John
  21. Are there any falconry centres near you ? should be someone there that can do it for you.... John

    s410

Try putting other pellets through it, I have been told Crossman premiers will reduce power by about 2 ft/lb. buy or borrow a chronograph and try different pellets , its amazing how varied the power is............ John

    Mews Floor

If you are tethering the bird to start with, don`t put higher perches in view, the bird might constantly bate towards them. when you feel the bird is settled enough to be free lofted, then put a couple of high perches in. I have even heard of people putting swings in .......... John
